So you can get, I believe, the first combat tonic that has been added to the game, from griffon repeatable task vendor in Bitterfrost Frontier. It’s of a Kodan.

I personally like this system, even if it means we won’t get more playable races. I think its perfectly reasonable to move forward with these, as the demands for adding new races are immense. The animations aren’t perfect, and I don’t expect them to be, but I think it’s good enough.

Anyways, I would like to suggest a way to improve them. I think a new section in the
Hero panel could be added for Combat Transformations (alongside Equipment, Wardrobe, etc.). You can then collect these tonics from various ways throughout the world, and then they will be unlocked for your account in this tab. You can swap between them like you would with an Outfit.

If you do keep going forward with this system, one idea is, since we can’t use cosmetic armor skins or outfits, maybe make several variants of the clothing on each of the races that you do eventually add. So we could earn a skin for a kodan shaman, kodan warrior, etc. where each one may have slightly different cultural armor.

They called us TEMPESTs, but we can use our elite to cheat death instead

in GW1 some of the later birthdays gave everlasting combat tonics, it was AWESOME.
they lasted something like 30/60 minutes and the cooldown was seconds so you could keep them up constantly plus they stayed active during story cutscenes

want to play the whole game as a dragon, go right ahead with the kuunevang tonic!

i really hope they add more everlasting combat tonics to GW2

I never use mine. I got it during the Festival of the Four Winds back in 2014. Back then people asked for the tonic to last longer and for the cooldown to be removed, but so far they haven’t done it. So it’s rather pointless.

Lasts only 5 minutes and has a 30 minute cooldown.

It stings even more for people who may want to buy it from the laurel merchant for 25 laurels+15 gold. Not worth it at this point. It sucks because it’s a really cool tonic.

There’s something charming about rangers.
