Just realized this…that the combat log isnt recording crits, or at least it is not for me.
Just the normal damage of the shot. Even if the hit was a crit, its not registering the critical damage, just what was probably the non crit damage.

Anyone else see this

it does, but arent labeled with a ’’critical’’ tittle, just show you the numbers

Im not sure, I crit, for example, for 3400 and I only saw 729

Are you using a channeled skill? Channeled skill like hundred blades or volley will visually show the cumulative damage you did, while your combat log will record what you did individually.

Also I’d like to point out I think it’s impossible to have 400-500% crits =)

Yes, unload is channeled, and whatever it was i was seeing 700 dps, instead of 3k

I wish ANet would stop presenting sums like that. And this applies not only for damage popups but also for tooltips. just about every HOT and DOT shows sum damage rather than pr tick damage. Given that most of those can stack in duration, never mind intensity, showing sums just obfuscate the actual output.

Now if they showed sums alongside the pr tick numbers, i would not mind something like “regeneration: 100(10s)=1000” or something.
