So uhm yeah i understand this issnt possible right now?
So we have dps tool that make screenshots or something? really?
How hard can it be to autosave chat/combat log to a simple txt file or vbs file?

It’s fairly simple, but the problem is, there’s other things to do which have a higher priority and they might not actually want to officially support it, since it’ll certainly change things. The combat log is also pretty terrible and needs an overhaul itself, which may be a factor.

The API dev has commented on making chat externally accessible for a while now:

Hey Healix, i know this issnt a priority thing ofc :-) but i dont get why this should be that hard to make.. i dont mind it being simple.. even when they just copy/paste the chat log into a simple txt file would do miracles for some people.

Thanx for the info/link! seems like its indeed a priority issue for Anet (well the dev does want to make something like this but he doesnt get the time)
