Hey guys, I’m coming back to GW2 after a long break. I mostly played during launch a little bit after, can anyone sorta catch me up?

Here’s a great video that shows what changes you’ll see right away (applies to everyone)

I played at launch and just came back a month ago. I only made it to lvl 30 or so when I quit. I just hit lvl 80 on my new necro. I’m not sure much has changed besides the addition of new tiers of gear and an overland raid mob. Still the same game at its core. The video linked above show the wallet change and a few little changes added. Overall if you didn’t like it before you probably won’t now. It took me letting go of the trinity and stand still combat to enjoy the game. Now I love it and won’t be going anywhere soon.

Yeah so pretty much nothing has changed but less bugs then there was at launch. Still got bugs but less. The wallet is okay and spvp and wvw has changed very little. Everything else in terms of Living story was pretty dull apart from a few. But doesnt matter cause you wont be affected by them, they were temporary. I suggest trying it getting in a guild you like or else once again u wont decide to stay very long

What you missed, you cant do again because of Anets decision to focus on temp content. The only real addition to the game was fractals, new tier set, useless WvW fluff, boring new hard teq fight (for some reason its not an instance raid), boring new TA dungeon that no one wants to do after they got the achievements, and some quality of life improvements that should have been there since release.

Its been a bit over a year since GW2 was released and literally the core game has mostly stayed the same. Such a shame as this game has a ton of potential only Anet don’t know where to take the game ever since fractals came out.

Nothing has been changed, you didn’t miss much other than temporary content
