I haven’t played in a few months then decided this week to come back and carry on with my characters.

I was wondering have they changed the game as in making it easier/harder?

For instance, before I was able to complete the starting map of any race, then either move onto the next starting race map or move onto the next level map. But now I can’t finish any of the starting maps without going to another starting map and level a little to return, I seem to be killing or being killed too easily, then when I want to move to another area on the map I find I can’t kill any of the enemies without being killed from one or two hits. The champions are frustrating as hell now trying to solo them.

And now there seems to be fewer people playing the events are harder to complete.

firstly, you shouldnt be trying to solo champions at low level. theyre group events.

veterans, sure. but not champions.

secondly the only time you should be dying to groups of enemies if theyre 3+ higher levels than you. even then, with the right build theres way to beat them. if youre running a bad weapon set or you havnt upgraded your gear for the passed 10 levels that could be why.

imo an inexpensive way to help yourself level is to buy power blue gear, and equip each one with a different rune that gives +10 power. (most of which can be bought for about 1s each i think)

the game was not made any harder for low levels as far as i know.

What I’m trying to say is I could use basic found/reward gear and had no trouble with the early levels.

I think what made it easier before maybe because there were more players just incase I became stuck which was rare, but now the maps seem bare sometimes.

What you will find is the game will be easier and harder as you level. It will go in cycles. I recommend you begin buying green gear at level 14, especially weapons. The buy/sell price makes it easy to get. Yes, found gear is fine in the early levels, but that tapers off quite quickly. The found/reward gear can be used to augment what you buy.

You mentioned fewer players and on the more populated servers you will find people playing throughout the game. It does make a difference in quality of life while leveling. Try guesting on Tarnished Coast.
