Guild Wars 2

Hello friends! I’m coming back after a while of playing WoW, and while I still love WoW a lot, it’s gotten kinda stale for me aside from raiding 2 times a week. Plus, the art in this game is just striking, and I really liked it for the short while I played.

I’m looking to get into PvE, even though the highest I got was level…20 or so? I know nothing about this game really. Crafting is confusing, builds are confusing…so my question is

What class do you suggest for players experienced with MMORPGS but not with the way this specific game works to learn the inner workings?

I was looking at either Thief or Mesmer tbh. Is there anything that’s not really viable rn either tho?

both are cool in every part of the game

Fair warning, Mesmer is often considered a mostly utility class. It’s still pretty good in PvE though.

I always have to recommend Guardian. Been maining that since launch and I still love it.

Yup, both classes are fine in all game parts and are fun to play. Mesmer imo is quite hard to level in the beginning but gets much better later.
If you are used to MMORPGs but want to know about GW2 specifically, then make sure to check wiki.guildwars2.com , after checking the wiki you can use www.gw2crafts.net for detailed crafting guides.

One piece of advice:
Forget what you know from other MMOs before playing GW2. It’s quite different and will save you some frustration.

play a warrior or guardian if first if you don’t know much about gw2. Thief if you really really want. DON’T play a mesmer lol.
