Hi all, i finally have time to play again and i am coming back to GW2. Since i did not play for like more than 6 months i have few question to ask.
1. Now i love to do 100% maps and everything on them, so tell me how is the Orr nowdays? is it possible to do all 3 maps 100%? or is it empty and ultra hard to do it solo?
2. Do people still grind dungeon tokens from dungeons for cosmetic set/gearing up? dungeons such as CoF and such?
3. I am starting new character and i was thinking of going engineer, but iyo which profession is most strongest and easy to solo with since i am gonna do stuff i mentioned in question nr.1.

1) Yes, you can. If nothing else you can look at a website giving current temple status and guest to a server where the temple you need is open. I don’t think the Risen are as thick on the ground as at launch, either, so with swiftness, stability, and stealth you can zip around solo if you can’t find someone to help.

2) Lots of dungeon running, you can use the LFG tool (on your friends panel) to find a group going to the one you want. Be prepared for the usual PuG issues and do your best to be the one that starts the instance so you can’t get kicked out at the last boss.

3) Guardian is the easiest to stay alive on, Mesmer the most fun to stay alive on, and Thief best for not having to fight when you explore. (all my personal opinions). Engineer has a lot of tricks but needs a lot of keyboard dancing to use them.

in reverse order.

3. Roll a warrior. They’re stupidly OP, to the point of being easy-mode for everything.

2. There’s less dungeon grinding, because we now have ascended armor, which is the current best-in-slot gear. It can only be gotten through grinding the crafting discipline up to 500, then collecting hundreds of ascended crafting materials to make your gear. Expect this to be extremely expensive and slow.

1. You can do all the maps to 100% fairly easy, though Orr still has a few points that require the various temples to be unlocked to get. You can either do them after the world boss train clears the temples, or check the online temple status sites to see what server to guest to to get the relevant skill points.

Orr is pretty dead except for temple runs, but I can solo any of the content for the completions no problem on my Warrior, Thief, or Guardian.

Dungeons are still reasonably busy…some groups do speed runs solely for tokens and they only want high dps players like zerker warriors but there are plenty of groups that aren’t so picky…there is an in game beta LFG tool that is useful (when it is running) and some still use gw2lfg.com.

Anyway, WvW is where the fun is! =D

Oh and if an area is super dead, feel free to guest to a busier server, you can guest to 2 different servers for 24 hours each term (free)…this is not a transfer just a PVE “guesting”.
