Coming back but need some help.....
If you are Oceanic, you can’t go wrong with Sea of Sorrows. If you are NA however, you could give Sanctum of Ral a try. They even have a few Oceanic guilds manning their WvW during the off hours usually. Give them a guest and see if it has the population you are hoping for.
Very cool thank you. I am sorry for not mentioning. I am NA server guy. Now if I can fix this crash issue, I would be ret-to-go.
Yeah that is rough. Doesn’t appear to be a repair client in the folder either. You’re probably trying to avoid it, but have you already tried reinstalling the game?
Yea there kinda is a repair tool. if you type “-repair” at the end of your icon name, it will start it the process. I did do that and I have re-installed a few times but to no avail. I have done some research on it and I found a thread were people have had this issue before, but besides my posts it went dead 15 days ago with no real fix.
its free, for the most part and I would like to try again just to see what has changed and what completely new. But this whole crash at launcher thing is really annoying. I reinstalling it for the 3rd time. I know it will not work, but for some reason it makes me feel better.
I ended up moving to Jade Quarry. I really like it. Always busy, and there’s groups of people actually doing the content. Yes, there are farms too, but it’s nice to see temples getting done and DEs getting completed.
Guest on over, and look for me. I’ll show you around.
Oh, and don’t let the naysayers frighten you. Some people are moe negative than they need to be.

My son had this for a while. Needed to update the graphics drivers and run as admin to get it to work.

Seriously though. I do like a great deal of what the game offers. I just get the constant feeling of being on a treadmill. I feel like I never reach my destination. I am casual, but I do play quite a bit for a casual. I just don’t feel rewarded. This game doesn’t reward skill it rewards grind
That I greatly dislike [/quote]
I agree with what your saying. However, like any MMORPG out there, there things we like and dislike. But we playing b/c usually the like out way the dislikes. I want to see what I dislike about this game and see if it will hold my interest this time, at least until WildStar comes out. lol

Ok, I Just wanted you to make an informed decision. It’s a good game and a nice distraction. If you’re just killing time until Wildstar releases then all the better. I think a lot of people are doing that. Enjoy yourself and have fun.
Thanks SHM. Just asking, instead of GW2 what are you playing now? Is there another MMO that has your interest? I am always looking for something new to play. That is part of the reason that I am coming back to GW2

I’m not playing anything right now. I have one toon that is not 80. I’ve considered playing it through to finish, but i kinda lost interest. I have sufficient gold/karma to equip that toon when it hits 80, but lost the will to do so. This is my 8th toon. Frankly, it all feels too much like deja vous at this point. (Even with my less than stellar memory) The game is free so if I decide I want to play , I can.
I’m ok not playing until there’s a game I want. I’ve heard people say they are Giving D3 another look. I’ve also heard people say WoW has been changing up their model to make it more user friendly.
Meh, I can wait. I’ve been gaming a long time. I got my first gaming system in 1977. (an Atari 2600) I was one of the first kids to have one. My Mom’s friend wa a computer programming genius.
Since then I played a lot of RPG’ on consoles. I then moved on to MMO’s. I put in a lot of grinding over the years. These young kids come on all full of spit and vinegar. They want to (even like to) grind away. I understand the mentality. I’m just not there anymore.
I am very selective now. When i buy a game I want fun and quality. My days of proving myself are over. Been there, done that. Who has the time anyway? If I am going to devote my valuable time to play, its gotta be worth it. I haven’t seen anything on the horrizon that warrants a purchase right now.

I completely understand. My 1st gaming consoel I got was back in 89 with Nintendo. My dad and I would put hours on end to beat Mario Bothers 2. I too, love RPGs and have moved up the the MMO world. I have done the WoW thing, the Rift thing, and the list could go on.
Like I said, I am waiting for Wild Star. That is the one the has peaked my interest. I have been beta testing ESO, for a little bit, nothing really there that holds my interests. However, loved Skyrim!! I still play it today, with mods of course.
Well here is hoping some comes along soon…
Good stuff, Drop me a PM if you come across anything interesting, preferably free to play
In terms of servers you really can’t go wrong with Blackgate, Jade Quarry, Sanctum of Rall, or Tarnished Coast. I’ve played on them all and they seem well populated across the zones.
I’m a little burned out with GW2 at the moment. I went back and played SWTOR for a while and just leveled an old 85 to 90 in WoW which was a lot of fun. I have hopes for GW2 given Colin’s emphasis on skill/ability progression in a recent blog post. I think if GW2 returns to its DNA it could be a great game. Hopefully they will be able to pull this off as a lot of competition is poised for a 2014 release.

I tried going back to SWTOR but just couldn’t, and I swore to myself that I was finally done with WoW. I am just looking for a game to last me till WildStar and hopefully GW2 will. I will check out those servers that you mentioned. Thank you.
