  • Fractals (new dungeon thing)
  • Wintersday event
  • Revamped Dailies and new reward system
  • Flame and Frost story (that’s going on now)
Life is a journey.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.

Nothing game-changing to say the least…

- Grind and (mostly optional) vertical progression
- Seasonal Event for Cash Shop marketing
- More skinner box techniques and systems to disguise how the gameplay is inherently shallow
- Uncomplete story arch that, currently, has you searching two maps to light fires, collect trinkets, and fix sign posts 100+ times for a dopey title and 5000 karma.

You know, it’s entirely possible to tell what has been added without injecting opinion into it…

Aside from the hyperbole on my feelings of the title, this is actually almost completely objective. Why do you feel like i’m trying to marginalize your post? I’m most certainly not, i’m just dissecting it further to potentially save OP from having to boot up the client.

Precursor prices flying through the roof, legendaries sellable (for crazy amounts of gold), and you haven’t missed anything in terms of WvW (except the latest patch that made culling worse)

Platinum – Guardian
Technical Strength – Engineer
Dungeon Master – FotM 46

The game was much better at launch—but that was because we didn’t know better and it was fresh and new—-since then—-not as enthusiastic about that game as it’s many flaws and shortcomings become more obvious.

So what you’re saying is that GW 2 being shallow is objective? Are you going to tell me that the muffin I ate this morning isn’t tasty, while I indeed think it is?

If you left prior to Nov 15th here’s a list of things happening recently.

  1. DR has become so bad now that entire chests disappear post dragon events and fractals for some
  2. the newest Ascended jewelry is out and they indeed have much much higher stats then we were previously led to believe
  3. they added more bags to drop from orrian mobs so T6 mats are a bit easier to collect
  4. the new content is just a precursor to more next month
  5. engineers kits have been adjusted slightly to make them more normalized with the other classes.
  6. apparently necros still are left in the dust so if you aren’t a warrior or thief you’re still not up to par with the only two classes that can 1 shot
  7. lost shores no longer drops much

Well, i think the mental capacity to establish that GW2 is more shallow than its’ predecessor is a whole lot different than a hankering for fruit-packed, baked goods.
