It’s not…It’s about different commander tag colors.
It probably has to do with changes to the commander tag, including the ability to change the icon color to differentiate you from other commanders.
Most assuredly related to expanded Commander functionality.

But in all seriousness, like others have said, it’s most likely changeable commander tags to differentiate one from another.
It is gonna be the new SAB rainbow level complete with pots of gold and leprechauns. /s
