Well, I’m one of the commanders that bought the commander compendium because I really like (to try) to organize PvE events, like the ones of the living world.

One problem I can see, is that lots of ppl tend to simply ignore ppl trying to organize this events, just because they’re narrow minded about the teamwork required to beat this events, and think they’ll solo the bosses or anything like that

I would like to suggest to Anet, and of course, hear more options from other players about a improvement on /supplyinfo due to the very small radius.
Btw, this can help organizing events, because counting ppl this way is easier than counting and asking for a stack

My suggestion is to put a parameter on the command with the desireable radius:
/supplyinfo 600
/supplyinfo 1200
And of course, this command must have a max radius (like 2000 for an example)
This way you can easily count ppl around you without needing a tight stack

The second suggestion is to blink a circle where are the radius of the command you typed (for the commanders) . Like the circular radius on skills or quests.

Hope someone can improve this ideas!

Second that.

Actual commander range is lower than 300 or so.

+1

It gets old telling players to stack on me really, really close for the purpose of checking their supply level. Then having to explain to them about the needlessly tiny /supplyinfo radius when the inevitable questions of “Why?” are asked.

Piggy-backing onto this suggestion, I’d like to see an expanded number of commands made available to commanders. One example would be the ability to list the professions present within a certain radius. Obviously not much use to a guild-only group where everyone knows each other and what professions they’re running.

However, this would be invaluable for commanders who lead PUG groups to see what professions are available to them. Those who follow a commander are an asset and it’s important that a commander know what those assets are. This isn’t intended as a means to discriminate or be elitist. It would simply be a means of allowing commanders to know what the group can accomplish (e.g. no point asking for a portal if there aren’t any mesmers present).

Commanders with a differente chat-color, or nickname-color, would be nice too: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/SUGGESTION-Chat-color-to-Commanders/first#post3604149

The problem with colors is that you could have troll commanders in WvW or at events giving bogus orders and people would follow the pretty colors.

This idea, however, with the range ability, I like that. Very nice indeed.
