are we ever going to see that in GW2 hahaha

I just got into a convo about all the April Fools jokes Anet has played on us over the years
and frankly I don’t think any of them have topped the Commando Class lol

Between the sheer ridiculousness of it combined with the hilarious dialogue like calling the Shatterer a One Big Chicken before unleashing a swarm of apache helicopters on it
and topping that off with the whole Terminator easter egg quest in GW1 I for one would love to see this continued at some point in GW2 lol

I’ll never forget this one it was just brilliant in every way
please bring it back in Gw2 one day Anet please XD

Yeah, even since pre-launch that is the best April Fool they’ve done yet

It’s definitely the most insane one XD not to mention easily had the most time and effort put into it

I really want to see something done with this again one day

I remember how much anger that caused to people who thought it was real cuz it “broke immersion” even though we already had guns in the game. People get offended/upset so easily though it’s silly. It was fun actually playing Commando in GW1 though during that.

I was glad when they added Jungle outfit since it’s closest thing currently in game. Too bad we cant wear the gas mask with it.

Yes they did add a mission in GW1 where you met a time traveler that was a commando, and you joined him in a mission in the past to save Gwen’s mother, the mission was full of Terminator references, it was soooooo awesome.

Yep and the commando and the time travel from that mission were 250 years in the future….so….now

Yup, there were two Annihilator April Fool’s quests. One was going back to save Gwen’s mother (Terminator). The second one was going back to save Gwen (Terminator 2). You even jumped into the lava pit at the end of the second one (in golem form) to restore the time stream.
