I thought about adding this to the existing post on communication but decided that I am likely to be lost in a thread that has 2572 replies (and counting!).
One of the common communication gripes is that people don’t know when the developers are “ignoring them” versus having read but not replied. What I am wondering is this:
Is it possible to track developer views much the same as the system already tracks views. If so, what about adding another column for counting developer views for a simple metric for conveying what topics have at least been seen by somebody, and which ones are highly trafficked?
Going beyond that, if the staff at Arena Net is feeling exceptionally daring, you might consider adding a simple date column after that dev views so that we as a community can see how recently a particular comment has been visited. This might also help with the necro-posting issue.
Thoughts?
