ive never used compact bags from the very first day of the game and i doubt i ever will. but what annoys me is the compact bags function placement. happens from time to time that i missclick on it and it messes everything up.

i dont see the justification “use invis bags” as valid (and it also wudnt work for everyone including me), its actually a game design error to put those 2 elements right after eachother in the dropdown.

if its really such a big deal for those that use compact bags, if they move it down in the menu, then there are also other solutions. like instead of moving it give us the option to get a confirmation dialogue on click. means if u activate “ask me for confirmation on compact bags” in the options you would get a dialogue on pressing compact bags asking “do you really wanna compact bags yes/no”.

this way nothing wud change for the compacting users and those that dont use it have a missclick protection.
more drastic and prolly suboptimal solution could also be to just let us disable the function in the options so it wud not even show up if wanted.

but denying a helpful fix for some players only coz others have to adjust their clicking habits/routine is not the right way to solve such issues imo.

Hopefully they add a simple button you can just press somewhere in the inventory screen , so we don’t have to click the gear icon and then choose deposit. They don’t even have to change the location of it in this case. And it would make everything easier.

I have literally never had a major issue with this, but apparently I’m a lucky minority.

There’s nothing wrong when a streamer complain about an issue. There’s nothing wrong with Anet is working on a solution. After all , Anet decides what is important or not.
We can hope that in a day , a streamer will rage when he/she will not find the mouse cursor during a large fight or will be disconnected during a meta and will not be able to return.

You shouldn’t even see the mouse cursor in a fight, you should actually be moving.

Deposit should be an icon, not a menu option, and compact should have a disable option as I never want my inventory messed with.

The only times I ever compacted my bags were accidental clicks. A few times in 3.5 years. It’s a fix I could do without, but who am I to complain if they implement something that saves me a minute per year?

I never quite figured out why I’d want to compact my bags.

I’ve wanted this for a long time.

I don’t care who got it to their attention, I’m just happy it’s being fixed and that it’s a small, presumably quick change instead of over-complicating the issue.
