I am a warrior and am wondering if I can get a companion creature to walk around with me?

You sure can! They are called Mini’s.

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

That’s what the mini-pets are for.

There are also creatures you can summon through consumes and armor rune sets the proc creatures if you want.

Try the Ogre Pet Whistle, which summons a random ally to fight with you. They’re pretty cool.

There are also some single use items that summon a fighting companion for sale from reknown hearts vendors.

Try to look at this helpful compilation (may be outdated thou):
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/16pcd2/a_guide_to_useful_and_fun_consumables/

There are some items that can summon a companion like:
- Fire Elemental Powder – Summons a Fire Elemental
- Ogre Pet Whistle – Summons a random ally (1 out of 5).

Other than that, you have non combat pets (Mini’s) and nothing more.

I am a lvl 30 warrior. What min/pet do you recommend, and where should I go to get one. I like the idea of a Fire Elemental, yet the area is a lvl 60-70 zone… as I am only lvl 30, im sure you can understand that it would be quick impossible for me to get this Fire Elemental.
Am I correct in saying that a mini does not attack? I am looking for a companion that will help me fight.

You can NOT get a companion to help you fight as a Warrior. That is the entire point of being a Ranger, Necro or Mesmer. You might have to roll one of those classes.

You can get a lot of the minipets off the trading Post but again these will not fight for you and are just there to add more character to your toon really.

Not at 30 I’m afraid, but when you hit 39 get 4 Major Rune of the Ogre runes in your armor and you’ll almost always have a compainion hyena by your side when fighting.
It will fight with you, but can draw agro after a fight when you least want more enemies on you.

the only real permanent companions belong to hunters I’m afraid.

as others have stated there are items and runes that can conjure up a side kick, there are also some elite skills, such as the charr’s warband support skill, or human’s hound of Balthazar skill that will also summon up temporary ally.

When you complete quest hearts a few unique vendor items can appear. I know there’s a whistle that can summon rock dogs for 30 seconds from one of the ogre quest hearts, for example.

A few races can summon allies with their racial elite skills so you could eventually look at that as well.

At level 30 you can get an Elite Skill called Summon Mistfire Wolf (requires Deluxe Edition) it will summon a Mistfire Wolf to help you in fights. It’s not permanent but it’s still a companion. The Elite Hounds of Balthazar will summon two allies if you are a Human.

Some races can also summon minions through racial skills. Like sylvari can summon a sylvan hound to fight at their side.

Just who the hell do you think I am!?
