I noticed a thing, everytime that a new update comes they add new items that you cannot deposit or stack forcing you to buy new inventory or bank slots with gems. For example in the Dragon Bash update they added a lot of unuseful consumable items (pieces o zhaitaffy and all the food) as in the halloween one.
But what they done within the very last update (Bazar of unuseful things) expecially with the new recipies is embarassing. Those recipes can be learned (not considering the 3 basics ones) only if you are lvl 80. Now explain me, why than i can craft exotic armors and wepons and whatever even if i am lower level???
They done it just to encoumber our spaces.

Actually, you can use the recipes whenever you want, adding the recipe to your crafting tab, but you’re unable to craft it until you reach that level of crafting. It isn’t based on your character level.

recipies for gear and weapon say “require level 80” so unless you are lv 80 you cannot learn it. you can only learn the exquisite quarz jewel, the gossamer insignia and the imbued orichalcum inscription.

you can learn those if you are level 80 even if you don’t have that crafting discipline

I can’t check in-game ATM, but on the wiki it doesn’t give a character level requirement to use the recipe, or even craft the gear, only to wear the gear.

I’m not to thrilled about having to be L80 to learn and craft the new items. My crafting alts are pretty low level but maxed on crafting skills (400). I suppose I’ll have to get to work on those alts and level them up.

Ahhh. I just assumed it was the same, because I learnt the level 80 exotic recipes before actually reaching 80. My apologies.

I just logged in to double check. The insignias recipes appear to not have a character level requirement. The other recipes say consumable requires L80.

Yeah, I just logged in. Didn’t realise that there were recipes for actual weapons and armour.

Thought it would have been like usual; make the component and Discover it.

My apologies OP.

I heard that they were planning on adding new bank tabs and stack limit upgrades via the gem shop. Hopefully that will happen soon!

I’ve been playing since launch, and played at least part of every month so I’ve gotten most of the special items and not used a lot of them (I’ve got about 3 spare back items, Fused Gauntlets and the dragon bash helms for a start). I’ve also got a huge pile of boosters and assorted gem store items from black lion chests (and I haven’t even bought any keys) and achievement rewards. Plus spare gathering tools.

And yet I’ve never bought extra bank space or bag slots and none of my characters is used as a mule.

It helps a lot that my main character is using all 18 or 20 slot bags (the 20 slots came from some of the events, like Lost Shores, the 18 slots I bought because the price jump was too much for 2 extra slots) so I put a lot of stuff in one of those. Some of the rest is spread around other characters who can use it or will one day be able to. Basically it just takes some juggling and making sure you’re not keeping stuff you don’t really have any use for.

Edit: The other thing that would really help me is remembering to use the boosters so they don’t just sit in my bank. I want to kick myself every time I finish a levelling session on an alt feeling like I haven’t made as much progress as I’d hoped and then remember I have XP boosters sat in the bank.

The thing that does take up a lot of space IMO is levelling cooking. Maybe I just haven’t gotten the hang of it but there doesn’t seem to be a consistent system to it like the other crafts so I end up making a lot of ingredients which can’t sit in the collectables tab but I can’t use right away either. I made myself a personal guild bank and it’s entirely filled with ingredients and extra food I’ve made.

I collect armor and town clothes, so it takes up a disproportionate amount of tabs.
One whole tab is various currencies.
Another is soulbound or account bound tonics.

I have all 8 maxed AND a bank guild. Need moar storage!

I don’t have a problem with account bound item. Just creat a mule and move there.

But the problem is with soul bound item. You have no choice but to put them in your bag or bank. There are item set I want to get, but purposely didn’t get it since it take too much bank space.

I love the fact that they added those merchants ta trade in your scraps and bits of flotsam in for real things – makes me wish I’d kept some of them, but also makes me want to go out and do a bit of gathering.

As for room, ya just gotta decide what’s important and what isn’t. I’ve got mostly 15 slot bags or thereabouts and no extra storage and I’m fine. You could always use an alt as a pack mule for the stuff you don’t expect to need for awhile. (unless you’re playing all your alts, of course)

I’m sorry I stepped outta yer box, don’ worry, if
ya whine enough they’ll put me right back.

i browsed his inventory and bank… my god the nightmare…

he was keeping fireworks, superior runes of nothing (just in case), overstacks of mats (even and most of all tier 5), i could go on but you got the picture!

oh oh the best part was an exotic bow (because it was to cheap to sell but no use at all for him) and 2 account bound amulets again no use for him (just maybe i put it in the mystic forge when i found 2 more…)

I have a private guild with a private guild bank, which I use for stuff like zhaitafy, sigils, and unused armor. Had to work to get the renown by myself, but Im grateful for that bank.

I imagine it’s to boost bag and bank slot upgrade sales.
