Guild Wars 2

So I noticed a few things.

First: LFG listing somehow counts as /m message, and if you list/delist a lot (for example trying to taxi ppl or just changing description) you get “excessive messaging” suppression.

But wait, there is more!
Suppression is shared with /m chat too!

But wait, there is more!
If you stay idle for a bit (typical situation when LFG in pvp lobby or LA) you get delisted from LFG tool. Which means, that’s right, to list again! 3-4 relists like this + a message or 2 in /m chat and enjoy suppression for some unreasonable amount of time. Yay.

UPDATE: I just came back from afk (around 10 minutes+) and only 2 things I did was: post myself in LFG and post once (1 time) in map chat my lfg message. And I got suppressed. What is this?!?!

UPDATE 2: and 2 minutes after getting suppressed I get forcefully delisted from LFG tool…. So now I can’t look for group at all (read original post)

Reason i am not using LFG anymore for Taxin ppl in. Somehow this game is becoming more and more a Joke. didnt they said Play as u want?….well its more like Play as WE ANET wants.

Well, LFG tool is really bad in gw2. As it is now it’s only decent to look for fractal groups. For everything else it’s lacking. Take any world event. They all go in one tab – living world. As well as world bosses, guild advertisements, SW farm, seasonal instances (because there is no other tab for them), raids (because why would raids need separate tab…), achieve hunts, story quests (even tho there is personal story tab ppl use this for some reason), etc. Pretty much everything that is not fractal or dungeon goes in that tab. Which makes it a mess. And without ability to filter that mess – yep, gl finding what you want.
PvP tab lacks divisions in ranked (apparently to encourage ambers teaming up with legendary/diamonds).
But WvW ofc has 1 tab for each border, EB and overflow (only they are empty 24/7).

To add to the list of annoyances: why does party chat log disappear after you leave party and port somewhere? That’s highly annoying.

Any info about if it is a bug, a feature of something else? And if it’s gonna be fixed?

Jokes aside, If I remember correctly the suppression system works on a point system and the more you are suppressed the more it suppresses you. If you do get a suppressed message trying to (check if its over) could be just increasing it.

Well, one of the points is that I get suppressed even when I don’t use map chat at all, only LFG tool. I also noticed tendency for it to happen when I list in it and alt-tab for a while (using borderless fullscreen).

Also timed delisting is really annoying, especially when looking for one of less popular activities. And updating your LFG seems to count as spam, especially (it seems) when you use exact same description).
