Just thinking of concept classes that could be added for fun. As you all know, the game is missing a third heavy. The concept of the Berserker would be the opposite of a guardian and more damage oriented than a warrior. They would gain buffs depending on their health thresholds and put out a ton of aoe pressure. However, they are the most immobile of the heavies and best countered by ranged classes.

Their special f1 ability would be called Violent Rage. It can be activated every 15s and the ability changes depending on their health. 100-75% health reduced duration of all cc conditions for 8s. 74-50% health cleanse 4 conditions and gain 3 stacks of might for every condition cleansed. 49-25% gain stability and protection for 5s. 24-1% become invulnerable to direct damage for 5s.

Trait lines can include concepts such as gain more power the lower their health is. Or a grandmaster trait that changes Violent Rage into Violent Resolve, which changes all of the abilities into support abilities.

Unlike warriors with a large kitten nal of weapons, the berserker would be restricted to 2 handed weapons with the exception of the mace.

Staff would be a support weapon, but unlike the guardian it would focus on debuffing enemies. For example, creating an aoe field that strips boons or stomping the ground to cripple all enemies and apply weakness in the area.

Hammer and mace would be condition weapons. Mace dishing out alot of bleeds and hammer dishing out cripples and minor amounts of confusion,

Greatsword and LB would be your heavy dps weapons.

Thats about all i thought of. Feel free to share your own class concepts for fun. =)

Berserker or not, it has always felt really weird that there are only two heavily armored classes. It always seemed like one was missing. I was expecting something more deathknighty (they’re an mmo trope at this point, just like warrior and paladin/guardian/etc) to eventually be announced. Maybe a dragon-corrupted-but-free-willed warrior of some kind in this universe.

But if there was a berserker:

Staff would be a support weapon, but unlike the guardian it would focus on debuffing enemies. For example, creating an aoe field that strips boons or stomping the ground to cripple all enemies and apply weakness in the area.

Nah, staff should be their main dps weapon.

Because “Agents of SHIELD.”

Thing about a heavy class is you can either go high damage or high defense, both of which can be supported by Warriors and Guardians as they are now.

A heavy battlemage class? where does that leave elementalists?
