Concern for Revamped Claw of Jormag
let players create their own overflows and name them, allow players to choose which overflow to join.
problem solved.
oh, rename overflows into “districts”
i.e.
Frostgorge Sound – District 1 (Champ Farming)
Frostgorge Sound – District 2 (Jorlag)
…
etc …
Either make it such that champions don’t spawn when jorlag spawns
OR
Make Jorlag spawns even more champions that drop even more loots
They will probably end up in overflows like a majority of other people.
The farmers will have trouble getting into the map as well because the people who really want to do jormag will be camping it, just like people are camping the main server sparkly fen maps.
Edit(unless the champs in fsg get nerfed into oblivion by the time this is put in)

I don’t think Arena Net would let players create their own overflows or server channels.
I personally like idea of having separate server channels like in other MMORPGs.
Frostgorge Sound – District 2 (Claw of Jormag) would work only if it does not have any champions in it.

Farmers will be there the second Claw of Jormag spawns, though. People will not be able to join the event.
i’d say increase player limit for dragon maps, the new Tequatl is really fun, going into TS and organizing that huge amount of people has been really fun, but kitten , if you get disconected, hello overflow, hello mindless zerg, goodbye fun… i don’t know how much people are the maps able to hold, but that number NEEDS to be increased for these kind of events

ANet can’t just up and go “yeah, let’s let more players in this map”. It just doesn’t work like that. The limits exist because limits on tech exist.

I have to agree! VoIP is really fun. It’s good way of meeting people in your server. Tequatl Rising brings people together.
Tequatl, The Sunless got revamped. I’m positive that the other dragon lieutenants will be revamped in the next few weeks, if not, months, and Claw of Jormag is one of them. Frostgorge Sound is a farmer’s haven. People farm the champions in rotation. My main concern is how can people get together to take down the revamped Claw of Jormag while there is a large group of people focused on killing the champions. People who want to kill Claw of Jormag will be stuck in Overflow.
I am already in overflow every time I try and go to Claw now.

They should leave him alone .. or better said : they should revert him to pre-patch and then leave him alone.
It was always fun for some people to fight him late at night even if in the beginning there were maybe only 2-3 people. It took quite some time, and of course much longer than 30 minutes, but it was fun.
Now i don’t even have to start when i see there are not so much people. Last night after 5 minutes i even switched to a higher populated server because i saw he was also there, and we were still on the first icewall after 7 minutes.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

The best thing they can do is move the champions outside of Frostgorge Sound.
Come to Darkhaven. The last three times I went to Tequatl (several minutes after the announcement, in fact) I’ve landed on our main server still.
And… It’s not that crowded!
Only hit overflow for Teq at extreme primetimes now and even then it seems to be dying down. Literally joined 4 minutes before the end of the event timer last night around 8’ish Pacific and ended up on main server (Teq gets to about 80% and never lower on DH).
I use Teq as an example; however, I realize this is about Jormag. Ironically, I’m getting more overflows on DH trying to get to Jormag in the first couple spawns after reset than Teq!
Jormag isn’t so bad right now, it seemed a bit better with the last patch, and they just need to remove any safe spots where people can auto. It’s then on a par with some of the temple events. Shatterer will surely be next on the revamp list.

You sure? Every time I’ve done it with the Darkhaven Public TeamSpeak we’ve had ~100+ people in TS and working together. We got him to around 55-60% last night and that’s the best we’ve done as a server so far.

I can imagine maximum 200 squad members per instance but squads have max 30 slots at the moment.
