Concerned about Ascended Weapons
I don’t mean to be mean, but this is a problem in your eyes and how you play Elementalists. All classes, not just Warriors can benefit greatly from carrying around multiple weapons and sets of gear to swap during and out of combat.
So if you’re only using staff, that’s you keeping it simple. Too simple maybe. Sounds like what you’re doing with your Warrior is also what you could/should(?) be doing with your Ele also. Just my 2 cents
Another post on how someone wants the best of the best right now without putting forth effort? How surprising…
And yet they say casuals can get ascended gear by playing the game 1 hour a day.

- You might want to practice some reading comprehension if that’s how you read it.

This ^^.
Not all professions are created equal when it comes to getting access to a full set of weapons.
What follows is a breakdown.
The first number is types of weapon a profession can use.
The second number is the number of weapon combinations available to that profession.
The third number is how many weapon types can be dual-wielded, necessitating 2 of one type of weapon (for example, an Elementalist’s Dagger/Dagger).
Elementalist 4/5/1
Engineer 3/3/1
Guardian 9/12/0
Mesmer 6/10/1
Necromancer 6/10/1
Ranger 8/11/1
Thief 6/7/2
Warrior 9/19/3
So the easiest and cheapest profession to fully equip is the Engineer, while a fully equipped Warrior would be a ridiculously daunting prospect.
And this is before even considering the different stat combinations.
If you wanted a full set of weapons of every stat combination, you’re looking at 23 complete sets.
For an Engineer, that would be 92 weapons.
For a Warrior, that would be 276 weapons, more than you can fit in your inventory if you have maxed out bag space.
Or “just” 12 Legendaries (remember, you would need 2 each of axe, mace and sword).
Ascended weapons make a mockery of build flexibility, and this is why.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.

I couldn’t care less about PVE. You want to farm the crap out of the game to achieve the best items in the world? I’m totally fine with it.
But WvW is totally different. I don’t want to see hardcore gamers dealing more damage than I do, just because they farm PVE all day long.
Currently I would have to farm for at least an ascended sword, shield, greatsword, rifle and longbow with my warrior while my ele would just be fine with a staff. lol

And on that same side of the coin, people who play more than 1 character in WvW like I do.
Ok, people are bashing the OP – but a core philosophy of Anet was always that best-in-slot gear should be simple to get. Skill is supposed to outweigh gear. As it stands, the WoWgrindboys have agitated for a gear treadmill, and are being rewarded with one, at the expense of everyone who doesn’t live in the game 24/7.

Huh? Anet was forcing people into one alt and build wayyyyyyyyyyyy before ascended gear came into the picture.
hard enough to make them cry, not just rivers but oceans."
How so, RJ? The first thing that was truly limited to one character was the laurels (pre-wallet). Getting one character into Ascended gear, if you don’t do fractals, requires roughly 6 months of Laurel collecting, per build, per character.
Exotic gear was/is trivially simple to get, even on a rarely played alt, which is how it should be.
The character exclusive stuff is what’s really got people upset – and I don’t blame them.
