So we got a heads up about the changes to condition damage awhile ago.

From that post:
•Bleeding: •The formula for this condition has been re scaled to account for this new behavior.of damaging conditions and to push more focus on the damage onto the condition damage stat.
•New damage over time: 2+(0.3*Level)+(0.075 * Condition Damage)

And now it todays patch notes:
•Bleeding: •The formula for this condition has been rescaled to account for the new behavior of damaging conditions and to put more focus on the condition damage stat.
•New damage over time: 2 + (0.25 * Level) + (0.06 * Condition Damage)

So it remained basically the same, but with a +2 modifier.

Was this intentional? Or was it a typo?
Can we get some clarification on this please?
Thanks!

The original had a break even point at around 700 condition damage. The new nerfed formula has a break even point of around 2050 condition damage.

With the previous formula with 2100 condition damage you would do 183.5 dps per stack

with the new formula you do 148 dps per stack, or a 20% nerf.

Not at all the same, one is 0.06 modifier and one is 0.075 modifier.

What I meant with “the same”, is as it was pre-patch.
I read the wrong thread before, and made a mistake.

pre-patch condi damage:
.025*lvl +.06*condi damage

Post-patch: 2 + .025*lvl + .06*condition damage.

But my point, and request for clarification remains the same.
Is it intentially different in the “preview” thread as it is in the patchnotes, or was it a mistake.

I’d like a dev answer on this. They first say one thing and then do another thing.

This looks like a blunt reaction to people crying condi is to strong. And balace wise its a totaly wrong way to go. ITs just: ok we go back to the old formular, that can´t be to wrong and its no real effort. :-/
