I was under the impression that, in GW2, all exotic armor is basically the same. The stats seems the same at least. So I thought AN just implemented different ways to get exotic gear. If you dont like dungeons: go craft or do karma runs, or do a bit of all (what I did).

But now, someone told me that it is best to get dungeon armor, because when ascended armor will be implemented, you will only be able to ascend the dungeon armor. And the other armor will be useless. Is this true?

If so, shouldnt this be made clear? I’ve been reading up on gear, and dont seem to be able to find anything on this topic… So I figured it is not true. But still, I would like to be sure.

Yeah, that comment about ascended armor makes no sense.

There’s no difference between Magi armor earned through Karma or Magi armor earned through dungeons other than the skins.

There is a lot of speculation about what ascended armor will be. In the current reality, there is no ascended armor and there won’t be until maybe next year. Level 80 exotic armor is available for karma from the temple vendors in Orr, by crafting it yourself, from the BLTP, and for dungeon tokens at the vendors in LA. Not all stat combinations are available from all sources. If you want to put off getting armor until next year you can wait till the ascended armor becomes a reality. Until then I am running full exotics.

Best armor is orr karma vendors or dungeons as only PVT (Power/Vit/Toughness) is useful in game. You can’t craft those stats, ever!

That’s really subjective. Power-vit-tough isn’t the set I use and I manage just fine. I’m decked out entirely in cleric with runes of altruism and my parties love me for it.

How is that the best armor in the game? After using it for a while, I realized (and through testing, I am sure) that the build I’m running with works much better with Clerics.

Many people will tell you Vitality isn’t really that great.
