Confused Why I'm Not 100/100 World Completion
they did some changes to the starter zones with the NPE, so i’d start by checking those areas for hearts.
beyond that, my best suggestion would be to hover over each map name on the world map, and the pop up will show you if you have everything done (hearts, pois, vistas, etc)
New hearts were added to Plains of Ashford (2, just north of the gate to the Black Citadel) and Caledon Forest (just outside of the Grove) so you’ll have to pick those up. Likely candidates for changed waypoints or POIs that I can remember are Gendarran Fields, Lornar’s Pass, and Kessex Hills. There may be some other maps that have changed but those are the ones that have had major alterations I can recall.
Edit: You can hover over the name of an area on the world map to check its completion status. You might have to visit the area for it to be updated or you might not, I’m not sure in the current scheme of things.

Look on Ashford, Caledon and Snowden for new things. Possibly one or two other maps but that should get you going.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
On the world map mouse over the name of a map and it will tell you what you have completed for that map.
Go to the map that says you are missing something, open the world map and mouse over the listing on the left 10/11 Waypoints for example. As long as the “zones” in the map are uncovered any of that item you don’t have will flash.
Makes finding stuff a lot easier as long as you’ve discovered the areas.
They added a few things a while back, didn’t feel it was tedious enough so they added a few extra hearts like the others mentioned.
And of course Lions Arch is radically altered.
There is absolutely no evidence to support that it would.” -AnthonyOrdon
I think Divinities Reach had a new poi added, the Dead End, an instanced area.
ANet may give it to you.

One just has to run up to the door to get it, or at least i did on my most recent character!

This is true, got this PoI just running up the stairs to the door. It was added in the Living World Season 2.
LA also has two new pois, one in the bay and one at the guild hall in the ne.
The explorer achievements and map/world completion actually track two different things so it’s not surprising you can finish one and not the other.
Explorer achievements are for uncovering areas of the map, whereas map completion is for doing all the hearts, vistas, POI’s, hero points (formerly skill points) and waypoints.
So it’s entirely possible to uncover all the areas but not get map completion, and since some areas don’t have any map completion points it’s also possible to get map completion without getting the explorer achievement.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
For the new WP’s and PoIs the Guild Missions update added one PoI and one WP for each of them in the open world.

The same is true for the hatchery in Nolan (Diessa Plateau), New PoI in an instanced area, but you only have to run up to the door to uncover it.

And the poi in the new instanced area in Wayfarers foothills, Cragstead. You only need to go up to the door.

Thanks to you all for the help, I was unaware of the changes you explain, I have seen some quest changes (the rabbits moved into the valley away from the trolls in Wayfarer for example) but I didn’t know Anet had added POIs, etc. At least I now know the main areas I need to look in.
I did find one new Waypoint in the far SW of Ashford, it doesn’t appear on my world map so I didn’t even know it was there, I stumbled upon it while playing a new Charr last night, before reading the replies here so I now have seen one of these additions.
Again, many thanks.

That’s for one of the new-ish guild puzzles. You will find similar puzzle waypoints in the NW of Snowden Drifts and on the west side of the iron farm in Brisban Wildlands.
If you don’t yet have the explorer achievements for Ascalon, Shiverpeaks, or Maguuma, then you need to scrape around near the doors of the puzzles to unlock the names of the areas behind them. (Or do the puzzles with one of your guilds.)

I was in the same situation a few weeks ago and I finally just turned off all the event/story notifications and ported from zone to zone until I got the “There’s an unexplored area in this direction” notice.

Thanks but I do have all Explorer achievements, all lists are fully ‘ticked’ which is what lead to ask here as I was clueless how to try to track down the missing POIs/Waypoints/Vistas; and yes, I recall now seeing a guild puzzle marker or something outside a door right next to the Waypoint, I did wonder about that.

THAT seems like an obvious idea I’d failed to see.
It will also let me see if there are any missing items in the zone summary.
Thanks.
Just to complete this thread, I got my 100/100 last night, the information you guys gave me was invaluable, I’m pretty sure I’d not have managed to finish it without them.

Good for you and grats!
