The compendium will unlock the tag for all characters, which you can switch on/off at will from the party menu. Once consumed, the compendium essnetially unlocks the ‘Commander Tag Option’ rather than you having to switch anything from char to char.

Once you buy it and consume it, it’s there to use whenever. So you can use the tag whenever you want, or not use it whenever you want.

I have a question about Heritage Armor. Is it worth buying Eye of the North for? I have GW1 and a lvl10 character but I don’t know how easy it is to get all the skins, but it looks really cool.

You will need to level up your character enough to start EOTN (level 20 iirc). Then it’s fairly small effort to get the requisite points.

That link will make sense when you unlock Hall of Monuments in EOTN (its near the start of the story)

Well, it’s worth it if you want more skins and AP. If you don’t want the skins or don’t care about AP, it’s not worth it.

My husband and I both got Eye of the North a few months ago just to do the HoM stuff, really. It didn’t take us very long to beat it, and we’re both about 15-20 points into the HoM now (I have a few more points since I have Factions and Nightfall, whereas he just has Prophecies and EoTN).

You can go in with level 10. You and any heroes/henchmen are scaled up, basically. You also level faster because you get more exp.

How long does it take? Are there better skins to get that I can apply infinitely?

Look at the link randulf shared above and type your name into the field. It’ll show you all the rewards (click on one of the icons under Reward Meter to bring up a picture of the skin, mini, or pet you’d get for each point). As for how long it took, with the two of us playing a couple of hours every night, I think it took three weeksish? Maybe less?

As I said, that was us playing just a little bit of time at night. And not every day. Plus, I also said I wasn’t sure exactly how long it took. :p Plus, it’s an expansion. It’s not like it’s some very short DLC.

And yes, you get three points for linking your accounts.

The first 6 things you unlock are the light/medium/heavy versions of each piece of “Hall of Monuments” armor, which is called “Heritage” in the wardrobe. You can apply these skins freely, as many times as you want.(like the achievement chest weapon skins) The light Heritage armor is one of my favorite sets in GW2, the heavy is pretty good, and I don’t particularly care for the medium. But you may feel differently about them. You can apply skins over items that have already had a different skin applied to them.

Yea but it takes too much effort lol..Anyways….which skin should I get in the gem store? I’ve looked at all of them but it seems like I need to use charges to reapply them. So maybe I should wait til lvl 80?

Yes. Gem store skin sets only give you one free application. Any other time you want to use a piece, you’ll have to use a charge. Outfits are free to put on or take off, though.

Gem store skins work just like the Profane armor you already own. Outfits, you can toggle on and off, take no Transmutation Charges.

Since you’ve been in-game for a long time, you might consider using the Wiki as it gives loads of useful information about almost anything associated with the game.

Good luck!
