I’d like to know about stories. So far i’ve heard about living stories, personal stories and main stories, but i have no idea what they’re about.

Some context, i started near the end of season one and i got a mail saying i killed a character called Scarlet i knew nothing about. Moved on, played the game, ended up killing a dragon. From the credits i thought i beat the main story and i felt the occasional patches adding stories were “expansion” like.

Now i’m just confused, i’ll never get to beat up Scarlet apparently and i don’t know where in the storyline those credits were, early, middle, end… Should i hurry?

Your personal and the living story are both the main story, your personal story just happens before anything in the living story. It goes in the following order:

Personal story -> Living Story season 1 (ended with you beating Scarlet) -> Living Story season 2 (currently going on)

On the Wiki you can find the Timeline that shows you how big things have proceeded in the lore

That would work except i never got to fight against Scarlet. I think i went Personal story →30s → Main story Season2 → Pending patched extras.

That i could deal with. It’s just i’m worried if i reroll, like i was doing, i might run out of time and miss out on more content.

You won’t miss content any more. The First season of the living story is all you’ll miss. You’ll be able to play your personal story and Living Story Season 2 on all your alts as long as all the episodes are unlocked on your account.

You unlock episodes by logging in at least once (and clicking on the thing over your minimap to unlock it) while it’s current.

Season 1 wasn’t meant to be repeated when it was created. They’re looking at ways they might be able to put it into the journal in the future, but it’s a very back burnish project.

The game assumes you participated in Living Story season 1 and the story builds up from there. You can not play it anymore unfortunately, so if you reroll now it will go from Personal Story (ends with you defeating Zhaitan) → directly to Living Story season 2.

The way Living Story season 1 was built just makes it impossible to be replayable, unlike Living Story season 2 that is built so you can unlock/play each episode as many times as you want.

The only thing there is to do now for you about season one I can think of is simply reading up about its storyline
