Guild Wars 2

I am excited about upcoming expansion However, when you say invite a friend to try it out for free it confuses me. We all already play for free, just buy the game and no monthly sub. So for people to try it out for free does that mean you are going to start charging a monthly sub fee? Or does that mean they get to download a temporary free trial version of the expansion, then if they like it they pay the full price for the game? Can someone clarify for me please.

Thank you How much is this expansion going to cost or is it free? I am pretty new to how guild wars works as I never go the chance to play Guild Wars and just started on Guild Wars 2.

Whats offered on the 15th is a free update, not an expansion. Anyone that you invite is able to access every bit of content the game has to offer as far as I believe.

Anet will announce actual expansions later as the game progresses and these will be unlocked when you buy that content. There are many free updates coming in the mean time I am sure though.
