Q:
Console Version
You could play it on your PC with a controller. Google it, people are doing so.
MY PC is connected to my 65inch TV and I play using the XboxOne controller with a wireless keyboard on my lap while sitting on the sofa.
If you want a console version just to play on the TV and a controller then you can already do that on the PC… Having a console port just makes it redundant plus it takes up too much resources away from the main game. We need more content on the current game not a port. Also if they did make a console port like Final Fantasy 11 then we the gamers would have to suffer in the mercy of console hardware limitations. I don’t want to go back to those dark ages.

I havn’t tried the Steam Controller for GW2.
I do own it though.
I usually just use the XboxOne and PS4 controller to play. I’m used to the layouts better =) But Steam Controller does have those extra buttons…
And a real cursor…

Doesn’t GW2 still run D3D9 as its renderer? Not sure if that ever got updated but if it hasn’t, oh man I wouldn’t want to be on that boat. We had some talk at my office with updating a particular engine on an arcade cabinet to “4k” with “improved 3d graphics”… It runs on D3D8…
