It was sorta disappointing, I must tell you.

Most of my close friends that used to love GW2 came back and we were expecting something exciting to do.

However, we did some boring stuff (run around fixing signs and helping fallen) and then what?

Sadly, for more that we love this game, there is absolutely nothing to do, unless I go pvp.
(and yes, we have 100% map completion and grinding for legendary isnt fun).

Where’s the exciting content?
Where’s that content that could reward us but would require coordination and skill to overcome? We don’t need raids. FotM were really cool once added, but someone inside Arena net had the brilliant idea of forcing people to grind 10 – almost the same- level… making a really cool content more of a chore.

Why not just make us pass each of the fract once and than go get to what would be level 10? We would see a dificulty scale. From 1-9, I barely see any difference.

Why not add more FotM types of instances. You could keep the current way to give ascended gear through Laurel, that is indeed a cool idea.
But you also could keep faster ways that would support those that coordinated hard for it.

For example, lets say you add ascended chest in the future.
That chest token could drop at the end of an instance that requires hard work to get there (boss mechanics), similar to raids, but with 5 people.

But you also could get the item through dailies, working on it on daily basis for 35 days (how it is right now).

HOWEVER, the instance one has an unique/awsome skin. (particle effect!)

The lack of content is disturbing.
Love my charr, love how his tail moves, love the game envirioment, every race with their own point of view, own architeture and behavior.

Really enjoyed getting 100% map complete (except the Norn part, that pretty bland).
But you guys need to add some coordination driven content.

If that will be an instance, a major event (no zerging please), it is up to you.

Only one word to say: Amen!

Not alot to do after half a year. I know people says there’s sooooooo much content like jumping puzzles, fractals, dungeons, ….

I don’t like jumping puzzles, I dislike fractals (made it to 11 and am only doing them for monthly from then on), I did most of the dungeon explorables and dungeons are the only thing that keeps me coming back but I feel not for long. Most of the dungeons are too easy once you did the path like 3 times.

Please. We need something to do that requires brains.

I play different. I used to play 1 MMO and pay subscription. Nowadays the hardcore loyalty to any game is gone. With all the f2p games out there you can approach MMOs more like you do with solo games. Play it, reach the end and play it again when they have more content. Like halo1, halo2 etc.

Also, honestly PvE end game is kinda hard. PvE is content that just ends. It has no end-game, only new story / content. PvP is a never ending struggle.

Yes, I see your point beren.

It just feel a pity to have this game become a “secondary” game or some sort of rotation.

I really wish I could play more this game, however, I feel that, outside pvp, there is nothing now.

I disagree, I find lots of stuff to do in the game. Well over 1200 hours now.

-Grinding, if you wish
-Fractals, and other dungeons
-WvW, which is a huge dynamic beast in itself
-Jumping puzzles
-Meta events
-leveling alts
-exploring (different from map completion)
-Dressing up all characters
-Playing the TP
-sPvP
-Achievement hunting

If you don’t like doing dungeon (may I say chain them), jumping puzzle, events, rerolling etc… then I don’t think any MMO will please you.

let’s face it, they can’t provide content as fast as we play.

This new live event, it’s just the first day. Sure helping the wounded and repairing signs wasn’t the most passionating thing ever, but I do like the idea behind it. Some kind of elemental kittenstorm coming.

Really eagerly waiting for the next days to see what they’ll do with that, it’s too early to be disappointed.

For my part I’m like 300H in and still having a lot of fun. Though I do love dungeons and fractal… if only they could give us cleric ascended.

That is right put more stuff fractals especially those of us who hate them and see it as a design failure with ascend gear.

What I need is horizontal progress and much better design.

Going on 1400hrs and not bored yet. As long as my Guild is on, I could do AC or Fractals a hundred times over and not be bored.

In the meantime, I’m working toward getting a Twilight. Actually, I’ve pretty much finished except for one piece, and it’s obvious which one that is.

How can you sell an item so dumb looking like the backpack cover and allow it to be seen while questing/fighting but town clothes can not? We know its true on how silly that baby backpack is. It should be town only.
