Some games give you some extent of freedom when you play; example being good guy or bad guy. I know gw2 is its own game but would be curious if they could add cool new things that allow players more choices example:

1) will we ever get to choose which side we will play. Like new scarlet event and future events could we side ourselves with the opposing faction to play against players choosing other side (like choosing to fight with scarlet get rewarded accordingly for stopping them from foiling scarlets plans)

2) something like instanced duels in the world (not pvp) where both parties have to accept taken to an instanced area to fight (may not even be possible but still fun thought)

3) can we pick the opposing side (like choosing the bad guy to foil the good guys plans changing world accordingly)

4) we all know those games that allow you to hostile or pk people out of safe zones; (again not very likely but would be fun to pk that troll that been annoying or maybe just keep people aware) and it doesn’t have to have any extreme penalties, like if you get pk you lose all your loot or armor could just be for fun or could be small reward or penalty just to keep people from getting bored with just ai mobs.

5) ability to change characters personality (extreme good – bad maybe changes characters aura) if you are really bad merch may not sell you something, may charge you more, or may charge you less (basically more choices in game effecting world)

6) yes some of these are just fun thought and may very well not even be possible, but for those more pvp oriented what about making pvp rewards more along the lines of the other game modes. I noticed you are making wvw more in line with pve as far as upping achievement points and loot, maybe a upgrade for pvp

7) maybe some harder instanced bosses to go along with the new revamped world bosses to test small groups

8) I think the goal of updating frequently is great but something to keep people from feeling like they are just grinding ai to get anywhere. ( I know wvw is getting a revamp and I am all for heading away from biggest zerg wins) something to keep players interacting with each other in pve would probably help lessen the feel of farm ai to win.

These are just some thought I thought would help liven up the game and make it more enjoyable, this may not be what everyone feels, so feel free to add what you think would help make the game better and please be constructive. The thoughts may be realistic or not, but no criticism as I want to keep the thread open to new ideas and views.

thanks good luck have fun!

Can’t think of any examples right now but it would be nice to expand on guild features in order to increase player interactions.

Maybe something like guild members who can rank up by fighting and taking down their superiors, deals, backstabbing, and having a guild ranking system like how it is in wvw. So perks and things for each guild member.

Maybe actually having official “Guild Wars” kind of like how Eve Online does it?

More emotes and environmental interactions like chairs and things

Oh and maybe having factions that guilds can influence to aid them in the “guild wars”
I think they would need to have a separate map for this to work though. Kind of like wvw but only for guilds? Just my suggestion

That all I got atm.
