Cool legendary sword idea.
Lost me at skulls.
“Maybe I was the illusion all along!”
Thoughts? Not very imaginative.
Not meaning to be rude but it’s the simple truth.
Besides that, apart from the footsteps there are already weapons in the game that have various colors of fire on them that aren’t legendary.

So make the fire brighter and greener! :D What if there’s a cooldown for a floating flaming skull to randomly appear as you attack? There’s already a lightning sword and the firebringer (which isn’t legendary but still cool) so going with another element (fire) could make sense. Since katanas and green fire are cool I figure they’d be awesome together. It can also make green explosions that are on a cooldown too (like an explosion every 10 seconds when you attack).
What if it’s a gold katana with green fire on it and your footsteps are green flaming skulls? Thoughts?
I don’t like any of this, but then the only legendary I like the look of, and have, is The Flameseeker Prophecies.
I hope the new sword and great sword look nicer than the first gen ones.

I hope they release soon some picture of the new legendaries, because I got a Sunrise in my inventory and I don’t know if I should soulbind or sell. My hype for the new gen GS is real
I would say something necro-ey but they can’t have swords
The problem is there’s no “theme” to this weapon. Legendary weapons aren’t just a random jumble of particle effects and glowing bits — they have a unified character.
Meteorlogicus is a mechanical model of a solar system, with clouds, planets, and stars. Its appearance even reacts to the day/night cycle.
Kudzu has a plant/nature theme, with a dryad depicted on the bow, petals falling from it while drawn, and flowers growing in the user’s footsteps.
Nevermore has a dark, druidy feel to it. It’s a gnarled tree branch with a large raven sitting atop it, and a little flock of ravens surround you when you wield it. When you draw it, a raven spirit surrounds the staff, and projectile effects can change into a raven form.
This “Flaming Green Skull Katana” sounds like “sharks with frickin’ laser beams on their heads,” to me. You’re just piling on random stuff that sounds bad-kitten on their own, but when combined they just seem ironically cluttered and kind of silly. Maybe if it were established that this weapon were present in the Guild Wars lore, or if it were an homage to an actual folklore weapon in history, that would be something. But instead, it’s like we turned to Mad Libs to design a weapon…

I see what you’re saying. For a greatsword I think a guitar would be a cool idea modeled after Geeta so it’d have two layers: a reference to K-On for those in the know and those who don’t watch that will simply see a cool guitar skin. Regular swords however aren’t big enough to qualify for guitars but still have a huge range of committed themes. Green fire has potential though but what theme can it be tied to while not being underwhelming compared to Bolt (which is pretty awesome)? Maybe something to do with the unnamed god who came before Abaddon?
Well i would assume they would look evil Since reaper is the only one that got a GS
then again who knows
