Most of the new healing skills have far to long cooldowns.

Most are 35 secs, some more!

Its too long…a good heal skill has a cooldown of 15 secs to 25 secs.

I think every class has better healing skills that they can use twice or nearly twice compared to someone with one of the new healing skills.

Will the new healing skills be buffed or should we accept that other than a bit of fun in PvE, they can be put with racial skills as mostly useless?

Btw if anyone can justify (for any class) why they would use one of the new healing skills let us know…

Yeah… As was easily calculated for the Mesmers base heals:

Signet: ~250-350hps
Mantra: ~550-650hps + AoE ~250-1300hps

Right. Terribly OP. I agree. Nerf the signet to the ground.

They rushed the new skills out so that they could say they fulfilled their promise of new skills in 2013. To make sure they didn’t rush out something too unbalanced, they gave all the skills long recharges.

That’s my theory, at least.

Obvious troll attempt…that’s why no explanation why any one of the new healing skills could be considered powerful.

All 8 new healing skills are UP (under powered).

Anyone else noticed the complete absence of this xxxx is OP threads…regarding the new healing skills.

Hopefully they will buff them Jan 21st or next balance patch.

I think it could be similar to when LoL releases new characters, they purposely release them slightly underpowered so that they wont rapidly change the meta/cause imbalance issues. Here anet is playing it safe with long cds and will lower them in the future if necessary
