This copy paste Halloween made me quit GW2 for a few months at least.

I was waiting for this so much, it’s my favorite holiday ;[
But! Slap in the face. I login, and check out things… Ohhh! I need to do the same achievements! Wow!
The same bad(BAD!) personal story!
Empty, dead and godkitten boring Mad King Labyrinth. (Where you need to kill a skeleton which is like 8 times more powerful than the final boss of the game.)

It’s just the whole thing feels like an insult, it’s so demotivating and boring.
I just don’t really want to play anymore.
If we get this for Christmas, Dragon Bash and for every others, I really just rather don’t bother to login and I will never ever bother to buy anything from Gem Store.
Copy Paste content is very offensive. And they should not get even a dollar from anybody for this idiotic lazy kitten.

I play since the beta. But this is the point where I really got angry and frustrated about the road which games took on….

Having lots of golds in this game, will not improve your gameplay experience mate.

I just think that this copy paste Halloween should been not allowed to as big company as ANET.

It’s an offense towards player base.
Crushing the good mood and hope of players is not okay.

Gold does improve my game experience…

I’m sorry, but I don’t get it. People have been complaining about temporary content and how they want everything available again and again, but whenever a holiday event returns (and they were announced as periodically returning content from the start), people complain that they want something different because they’ve seen it before?

It does leave a bad taste in mouth, after they started building halloween story last year, and this year letting it down and just putting out the exact same content, without continuing the story or making it a proper repeating holiday event.

Re the labyrinth you could, I don’t know, use the looking for group tool and join an active map like anyone else who wants a solution instead of a reason to complain?

So far I’ve found good maps on both days with a minimum of effort. Not to mention that the farming is much better this year than in previous years.

On top of that, most games have copy and paste holiday events. Because you can’t put too much work on something that’s going to be gone in two weeks. Anet used to do that and got nothing but flack for it.

Which would have been fine, if it had been built as such – but it wasn’t. It was built to be a chapter in the halloween storyline, and then got copied to this year.

Continuing the story, what is there to continue…if you mean about the Bloody Prince that you locked back up in the Reliquary then I’m afraid you have no story to continue. He’s locked away again, for the foreseeable future, maybe in a couple of years when the candy magic locking him away leaks off enough they could come up with something, but wait, first you find the Reliquary again, he breaks out again and then you try and put him back in again…hmm, sounds just like the current story line.

You just can’t win, if you do one off events and change them the next year people whine that they missed it last year and want it back so they can experience it, if you repeat an event people complain that it’s not new.

Exactly.
I was looking for some new story update about Halloween!
Something to wait for (like at first halloween) for example: At day 4 there will be something…cool and crazy! But nobody knew what will be.
And we gathered around the Lion’s statue and boom Mad King popped out then we went to defeat him.

The second halloween update was terrible. But still at least new content.
And the third is the second halloween repeated………

It’s terrible to login and see all those copy paste achievements too.
I just did them last year. I do not want to do it. I waited halloween for all these bullkitten?

It’s just doesn’t have the Halloween mood anymore……
And I bet they will do the same with Dragon Bash and Christmas………………just copy paste it and boom.

Because holidays are not meant to be all new but traditions and those are by definition repeating things that have gone before.

Maybe there is a reason why other games have polls what people would like to see again
and mix it with something new ?

playing the bells at winterday and the snow globe is an all time favorite.
So why not mixing it with something new ?????

I guess this would be way to cool.

Nah.
I just share my feeling about that I waited for something cool and enjoyable.
And I got the same 4/10 halloween this year too and it made me lost hope towards where is this game heading.

I am proud to be a forum hero!

Its mainly because the forum has a better storyline, events and PvP experience than the game :P

Sometimes the community makes me want to leave… of course then I’m reminded that most of the forum-ites aren’t even players…

I dunno, why anyone would expect something entirely new on a holiday event? The LA redecoration is somewhat new, LA was destroyed, it couldn’t be copy/pasted, it actually looks amazing now and better than during past Halloweens, to my taste atleast. They could ofcourse bring old dungeon and RR back, i dunno what’s the deal there.
