I don’t understand why this feature has not been implemented yet, it’s a basic chat feature.

Please create the ability to highlight and copy text in chat so people can post links in chat. No, this is not for gold spammers. It would be useful for sharing info to guild related website information. As well as guides, etc.

I so want this. I’d be able to finally read chat. I’d be able to copy chat and paste it in notepad for my screen reader to read to me. I can do this on EVE Online which makes communicating so much easier.

But there aren’t very many blind gamers out there so this is an extremely niche reason

Just one of many features Anet deliberately didn’t implement in their misguided (and failed) attempts to prevent RMT I expect, like no player-to-player trade, etc.

More they just didn’t think to implement that shortcut is all. Just like they didn’t re-add the f12 → c shortcut to quickly log to your character select screen. that’s another one I’d like to see come back.

FYI: F12 -> Enter

Atm it is F12 + ’move the mouse to the middle button (char select) + Enter
Gw1 was F12 + C (does char select immediately) + enter (ook about 1-2 sec)

Edit: interesting. Now it seems to be F12 + Enter + enter How can I have missed that for 3 years+? I kept wanting gw1 feature back, and it’s super hidden!
