Hey all, first forum post for me!

Anyways, a buddy of mine has a limit to how much he can download and the game file is over that limit, What we’d like to do is copy all the files from my pc onto a flash drive so he can get the files without the large download. What i’m asking is Is this possible? and if so, is there only one location for the game files I need to worry about?

Thanks folks!

There is, basically, only one game file, and it is approximately 22-24GB now. It is the .dat file. Make sure the flash drive you use can hold a file of this size.

Good luck.

Yep, completely possible. All you need to run the game is Gw2.dat, the shortcut with the logo, and whatever is in the bin folder. Then just move it to a folder wherever your friend wants on their computer.

You only need the gw2.dat file.

I update my client more often than my wife, so I copy my gw2.dat to her PC about once a month so her client stays pretty up to date.

Plus going from my PC to hers is a WHOLE lot faster than updating from the net.

Make sure the flash-drive is formatet with NTFS and not FAT-32 since FAT doesn’t
support files of that size.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
