Could GW2 get official VR Support ?
I hope so. The big challenge would be HUD modification. Not sure how it would work in first person. For third person , I always imagined a floating asuran mech sort of thing, with skill bar etc in the dash board area.

The UI is… disruptive in 3D, so on VR it would be just as bad. When I decide to run around the world in 3D (which is pretty awesome in first person mode now) I always have to disable the UI. It’s barely tollerable to actually try combat.
3D support, let alone VR support, has a lot more to do with game design than it does just “supporting” the technology. The UI for one, needs to exist in the game world, not as an overlay. I would not seriously expect official support for much of any games for a long, long time. Not unless VR actually becomes the next big thing and they have to support it or risk losing players.

Yeah, on the list of things to implement Dx 12 (or 11) and 64 bit is probably a bit higher on players wish list.
I guess thought it depends how difficult implement VR support is going to be.
I’d rather them fix the UI so I don’t have to squint my eyes to read chat on a 4k display. x-x
I´m almost sure that all these “awesome” VR riggs will end up in the corner after about a month, due to the splitting headaches from staring for hours at screens mounted 2 inches from your eyeballs.
Only solution I would actually give a chance is Jeri Ellsworth & Rick Johnson´s castAR , due to the actually natural viewing experience.
But hardly anybody ever heard of them.
