Guild Wars 2

As the title says. It just feels like a bare mmo without a whole range of emotes to choose from. Living story is great and all, but more emotes while we wait for hours in overflows to pass the time is nice too.

Funny thing is all the old emotes are still in the game engine. You can try /flex and the others like it and the game registers the input as a valid emote but nothing happens. Which means they need to create the animations for the races.

Maybe in time it will happen, who knows.

I know. It just feels like they’ve forgotten about it. And it’s a very basic thing in most mmo’s. I think. Not that I’ve played that many.

Yes please give us more emotes! It’s a simple, seemingly insignificant thing, but it makes such a difference and also promotes community!

Can’t tell you how many dances/cowers/threatens I’ve instigated while waiting for boar or other champ only for others to start joining in – they’re fun and friendly, more please :P

Me too. I feel Anet is too caught up with the living story every couple of weeks, but they’re forgetting the basics of the game.

Quick question, I see a lot of hate for the gem store on these forums but rarely anything decent actually added in the store – are you guys seeing products there that I’m not or something?

But they did add new emotes. Those new dance moves in that gem shop dance book.

The lack of emotes really makes GW2 feel like there was some point during the development process where some money grubbing executive threw a tantrum about developing anything that wasn’t money related.
