I have every item needed for Astralaria except,
I apparently need 12-16 mastery points in Nuhoch lore to get access to the gift. Considering the frustration of minipuzzles, story achieves to get the previous faction lore and the gift, that is it for me.

Good bye Guildwars

I really don’t understand how somebody can put so much time and energy into making something like a legendary and not even bother to scope out what all they’ll need for it before committing.

Like, how? Why?

Also, there are so many more MPs available in HOT + LS3 maps than are necessary to max all the lines, you don’t need to get gold in all of the mini games or do the story cheevos. When I was getting frustrated by not having enough MPs, I took a hard look at the achievements that gave MPs and some of them were ludicrously easy to get. Tangled Depths has at least two (stealth gliding past some mordrem and using ley-line gliding to get to a mastery point), Auric Basin gives you a MP for finding and hitting a mushroom king once. There are MPs for lock boxes, defeating bosses, and doing a series of events that you can knock out in less than an hour. Check out your Achievement tab and see what easy kitten you might be missing.

Or you could, you know, throw away what was no doubt countless hours of effort just before you stroll across the finish line. That’s totally reasonable.

Most likely, the game was already boring and meaningless to players before the last annoyance that made them quit.

The thought of spending over 24 hours opening 15+ stacks of champion bags and the sight of an infusion item from the redesigned infusion slots for ascended rings made me not wanting to play.

Stop being lazy, there are like 37 more maguuma mastery points than you need to max out everything.

One of my 30 accounts (Malediktus.9250).

When I looked at the requirements for the hot legendaries I was frustraited that it required max masteries. Since LS 3 it is easier to get max masteries without having to do all of the adventures. I always tell people that HoT legendaries are harder to make than the old world ones.

Less than 24 hours and I’m back, because I have an addiction and mercurial mood swings.

Yes there are more mastery points than you need except, many are unobtainable unless you spend hours mastering jumping puzzle skills or suffering through client and meta map failures. 6 on DS to get one item for Astralaria, or can’t be completed unless the meta has succeeded, TD.

It is an adult option, in the face of untenable circumstances, to walk away from a situation. I may have chosen to come back, but I do not doubt getting 15 points for mastery is going to frustrate and anger me. It will also take longer than any sane person would be prepared to devote.

All other parts of legendary crafting allow measured progression with the knowledge that you are getting there.
Jumping puzzles etc do not. Fall at any point, crash at any point, have the game not register at any point and back to the start you go. First jump or last jump, all erased.
I’ve done many minigames and jumping puzzles and never gone back to them again once I have what I needed, because they are hateful and disposable.
I take part in events on all maps, any level because they offer interaction and progression and achievement. Everything Jumping puzzles and minigames do not.

Anyhow, back to the MMO grindstone of unhappiness!

Forgot to mention, every few hours you can’t do things because of events lasting up to half an hour long

I don’t think you understand the words interaction, progression and achievement.
Because basically all content has interaction progression and achievement attached to it.

What you mean to say is that you either really dislike or are incapable of completing Jumping puzzles and adventures. Or a mixture of the two extrapolated from eachother.

I hate the mini games, but there are a few that are easy enough that you can, even if you are a terrible player like me, get enough points to max. its not hard. go read a guide, pick the easiest ones, done. dont assume theyre all frustrating and throw out the whole thing without trying.

I don’t like the adventures, but I got silver on most and gold on a few (some gold on the first try, some silver after a frustrating hour). Check the youtubes for guides on how to complete them.

The time gating part of making astralaria was far worse.

The Not So Secret jumping puzzle was worse than any adventure.

At least they didn’t tell you to jump “Chalice of Tears”.

That one is like 200 times worse than anything in GW2 in existence.
