Hello,

1) Can I craft legendary for my current main character on the other one who has all the crafting skills (same like I did with ascended gear)? So my current main char would gather all the mats, precursors etc. and my crafter would do the honors.

2) Do you unlock legendary skins? I’m mainly after a skin, would be a pain to craft two legendary pistols.

Thanks for answer.

1. All of the gifts are account bound, so yes, you can craft some of the components with other characters.

2. Yes, once the weapon is account bound the skin is unlocked in your wardrobe, so it can be applied to other weapons.

1) You can craft a legendary for any character, since they are account bound rather than soul bound when equipped. Also, you can change the stats anytime you want, so you don’t have to worry about the build of each character.

2) Yep, if you want twin Quip for example, you can transmute any other pistol to Quip instead of making two Quips.

Just remember: After you’ve unlocked the skin for your wardrobe you can no longer sell the legendary. Should be obvious, but I’m still stating it here for complitionist’s sake.

If you’re doing the precursor collection I recommend you read the description of each item carefully before you do anything with it, maybe check on the wiki if you’re at all unsure how it works.

The one I know catches a lot of people out are the recipes you receive as part of the precursor collections. These are labeled as account bound, but that just means the item in your inventory can be passed between characters (which is what allows 1 character to do the collection part and another to do the crafting). Like all recipes when you double click it to learn the recipe only the character you’re currently logged into will learn it. So you need to make sure you give it to the character you want to craft on before using it, otherwise it will be wasted. (It is possible to get them again, but they’re expensive.)

There’s also some items you receive in one stage which need to be saved until a later stage and then salvaged. So I recommend not deleting anything until you’re sure you’re completely done with it.

More generally I strongly recommend looking up the process on the wiki so you know ahead of time what it’s going to involve and don’t get any sudden surprises.

I actually made myself a ‘shopping list’ of all the things I need to get and where they come from, which allows me to plan ahead. I’m only up to the first crafting phase so far and at the moment that just means making 1 Spirit Wood Plank a day, but because I know what’s coming up I can do other things that will come in useful later, like doing Silverwastes for Bandit Crests so I can afford one of the collection items or saving my Iron and Copper Ore which I’ll need a lot of later on. Considering I get bored very quickly when farming being able to space it out like this is really helpful.

The same is true of the legendary crafting process itself too. There’s no set order that has to be done in but I still found it helpful to be able to work on multiple things at once. And sometimes you can combine things – for example I’d regularly run the dungeon I needed tokens from to get gold and rares to salvage for ecto – which I needed for Mystic Clovers. Or making Clovers before collecting T6 materials because the Clover recipe drops those too so it reduced the number I needed to buy.

As Danikat already mentioned, save all collection items until you’re sure 100% the collection is complete.

Because some collections like from Astralaria collection T4 for instance, you have to collect and combine various parts to make a sort of Astronomy telescope, its by another name, but technically what it is — then use it to chart constellations at specified locations. It’s a neat feature included in the collection that adds a touch of interesting to it

It definitely kept me interested.
