Hi all,
Recently, after I achieved equipping my main characters with each weight of ascended gear I have been still making Deldrimore Steel Ingots, Elonian Leather Squares etc to sell.
I was wondering what other crafted items are good to make on a daily basis to sell? For example any rings, trinkets, weps, armour?
In addition, I am finding it extraordinarily hard to find Rugged Leather Squares. I Googled this and found a page on here which was very helpful. I knew about the trick of purchasing medium armour, I just wasn’t sure of the levels. I did as was suggested and purchased a few medium coats between levels 34 and 45 and also 46-63, and was weirdly unable to salvage them! Has something altered, or was I purchasing the wrong item?
Any help/advice would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
karma items aren’t salvagable, but you can put 4 of them into the MF and get 1 salvagable one out.
Anything with a once per day limit will sell well (as long as it is not account bound!) I’ve made some great gold out of crafting heat stones and grow lamps recently but it does depend on what mats you tend to accumulate. Sometimes it can be more profitable to craft the stuff that is used for crafting those once-per-day items. Also look at orich plated dowels and some of the related inscriptions.

Ding is correct: generally speaking any time-gated crafted item will be profitable to sell. The wiki has a full list:

Anything else that gets crafted… that is more situational and requires studying the market. At any given point, dozens of items are profitable to craft (and sell quickly), but the list changes quickly.
You can start by looking at spirit shard promotions. Also consider crafting dyes, as well as other karma-sourced recipes. And then you can start investigating crafting in general. You can google for resources to help and here’s a list to give you a headstart:
Make sure you include TP fees (both of them) when accounting for whether something is profitable. Damask bolts also have been fluctuating between being worth crafting and not.
The crafting market seems to have collapsed over the last month or so from my point of view. The demand driven by Raids has eased off considerably and everything I was crafting for profit has dried up. And by profit, I mean considerable per item not silver/copper per craft but gold per craft.
Deldrimor Ingots, Elonian Leather, and Spiritwood Planks still have good profit margins since you need them for precursors.
there was a period when you could make 1000g profit from selling The Flameseeker Prophecies, after tax. i made few thousands gold from that, utilizing the otherwise unused gift of exploration.
but that period is over now. still profitable, but not as lucrative as it used to be.

Collapsed? No. Become significantly less profitable? Of course, whenever the supply starts to match the supply and demand tapers off, there is always less profit.

Lately it’s been Bifrost and Dreamer that have been over 1K.
I found a really good place for rugged leather and linen cloth, you can make about 20 of each every 10-15 minutes plus all the other drops and junk you make along the way.
Unfortunately I can’t tell you where… Wouldn’t want to lose all my profits.
[&BLoCAAA=]Evisomancer’s Resort is decent for linen … assuming there isn’t anyone else around
Alternatively check one of the world boss timers and see if Ulgoth is about to spawn. Northforge and Southforge defense events are great for linen when scaled up. If not scaled up you end up with mostly cotton instead.

Thank you to everyone kittenponded. Since I started investigating what I can make from crafting, I’ve found all kinds of different things, but was unsure as to whether they would be profitable long-term. It goes without saying that things are always fluctuating, so the above response is exactly the kind I was after, thank you very much.
I am self admittably terrible at maths so I don’t find it easy at all deciphering what is worth doing to sell on the tp when taking its fees into account, so I am really after those items that as I say are long-term profitable and perhaps any websites that make it simple to see what is currently good for crafting/selling.
Since I am not buying the mats to make the items to sell I don’t ‘feel’ any loss if that makes sense. However, Elonian LSs have become difficult to craft due to a massive lack of Rugged Leather Sections!
I have also crafted a few inscriptions, but long-term I’ve no idea if that is really worth it if I can’t obtain the materials at the rate I am using them.
Thank you all.

Soooo useful, thanks mate LMFAO. I’m sure you’re not the only person in GW2 to know this area…
I got a decent amount from the Dredge in Dredgehaunt Cliffs near SE wp yesterday when experimenting with events/farming etc.

So much less profitable it’s not worth the risk of being undercut or worth my time so to me it has collapsed but for TP ‘grinders’ I suppose there are a few bits of meat on the bone you can compete with the other vultures for.
Honestly, just go to maps with desired material tiers and farm.
It is more fun if you are leveling alts but anything that farms events works.

I apologize then, I assumed you were using “collapsed” as an economic term, by use of the phrase “the crafting market has collapsed”. I see now that you meant it in a personal sense of not being worth your time any more.
It remains, however, quite profitable. Although, as you suggest, one must be more careful about one’s buy & sell offers, whereas as before, you could make money easily without regard to either.
I always use the orders, never immediate, but I like a net margin of over a gold per craft.
