Best site to know about craft and cost. Cook jewel and artifice lowest cost.

http://gw2crafts.net/

Have not use craft to level in long time but I think it is only 7 level craft to 400 now. You over level 50 so can craft rest way to 80 but will cost much more than use to.

It’s still possible. Cooking, Jeweling, and Artificing are the cheapest (~10 gold each to 400 according to gw2crafts), with the other five professions significantly more expensive (~30 gold).

If you have crafting boosters, those should help reduce the costs. Also if you have HoT, the Pact Mastery Level 2 upgrade supposedly gives you bonus experience from crafting, but I don’t know if anyone has tested it yet…

Thank you so much for the replies! I’ve never crafted before so I have no clue what I’m doing haha. You can buy all the materials you need from a vendor and TP correct?

Yes but if use craft guide I link above cost can change over time. For some thing can save some coin by put in buy order for some more common material if you do not mind wait small amount. Guide I link tell you what to buy and what to craft with instruction for level craft. I think that guide is what most want to level craft use.

gw2crafts.net is not the cheapest; its the fastest.

gw2crafts.net uses available prices and calculates what to buy off of that.

If you calculate using custom offers, you can save 40-60% more off of what gw2crafts says.

Also, use a crafting booster and an item booster. Cuts down on what you need to make by 50%.

Why I said use buy offer if can when I said this.

Most every person I see for year use that guide as start place to craft level. Many that know can save some 2-3 gold here by using buy order or boost. But that guide is where most start. That was what OP ask about and got answer with. If you have better craft level guide send OP PM. That person will like it better.

Current costs (at time of this post) to get to 400 :
Armormsith: 6g 58s 36c
Leatherworker: 8g 34s 5c
Tailor: 7g 83s 5c
Weaponsmith: 11g 66s 60c
Huntsman: 11g 53s 78c
Artificer: 2g 72s 22c
Jeweler: 5g 79s 65c

If you run an item booster and crafting booster, it gives you 100% crit.
If you run the new xp booster, fireworks, and any guild xp buff you have, you’ll gain more character xp per crafting level.

Not sure what you look at but no way leather to 0-400 is 8G buy all mats for example. Not close no way even with buff. If you can leather to 0-400 for 8G share how. Show step and what need to do. You will be popular if can.

I already said how. Calculate what you need to buy based on custom offer prices. The items you come up with are quite different than what gw2crafts.com says.

If you want to make a spreadsheet to do it, it took me about 4 or 5 hours to make the first one and another 30-45 minutes for each profession after that. Not really worth the time unless you’re leveling up multiple characters. For myself, I got all 45 of my characters to 425 for Armorsmithing, Leatherworking, Tailoring, and Jewelry.

I’ll probably make the spreadsheet available once I get everything I need for Weaponsmith, Huntsman, and Artificer.

Cooking, I’ll leave to gw2crafts. Too many recipes to bother tracking.
