Crash patch rates slow down, crashes persist

When the expansion first launched there was a frenzy of new builds patching various server and client crashes, which was good because crashing was really really frequent.

But I’ve noticed that crashes are still frequent (at least 4-5x a day my client crashes randomly, I can’t pin down what it is, I’ll crash on waypointing, crash when opening a menu or inventory, crash just running along in the jungle.. no method to the madness), but we’re not getting patches for crashes anymore. Are the crashes just really hard to nail down or am I the only one crashing this frequently (and only since HoT have I had crashes of any frequency).

I don’t even bother trying to do meta events in the maps at this point because if I’m on a good map chances are I’ll crash and end up on a dead map and have wasted my time.

Ok, I’m getting really annoyed with the frequent crashing.

And the funny thing is, it always crashes when I’m about to finish a meta event… so I spent 30 minutes doing a meta, nearly finish… only to crash at the last minute.

I’m not happy about this.

Please nerf bag types instead of class skills!

You’re definitely not the only one. I just started playing GW2 about a month ago, and I had a few crashes in the beginning. But I’ve noticed that it’s become much more frequent since HoT/Halloween, and now I usually crash at least 2 times each play session.

Sometimes it your basic “crash to desktop” and a window pops up, prompting me to send a report (which I do). But most of the time the game just locks up and I can’t get back to my desktop, or I crash to desktop but still have the game’s cursor instead of my normal computer cursor. And in both of those cases Ctrl+Alt+Delete (to “End Process”) won’t work, and I end up having to reboot my comp.

My system specs:
