The main ideia for this Special Account Bag is this.
For example: I have 3 caracthers 80 lvl , i wanna use my ascended rings and accessories.
Problem is everytime i log in, i have to go to bank share that itens between characters.

This special account bag works likes this.
i buy one for each 80 lvl toon, in there i put that itens. So next time i will log in, the itens will appear in my second toon, and so on. The bag save the itens, that way i share the itens betweens toons everytime i log in

So you want to kitten the game by not going to the bank. That is what the bank is for as is all the bank access items you get from achievements or can buy from TP.

This sounds like a good idea, especially for acc bound gathering tools. Infact we should be able to unlock the tools on each character permanently (and to be able to swap them at any given time, e.g. different tool skin).

So the people that bought multiple account bound gathering tools won’t then be asking for refunds. I mean if you have a shared slot, there’s no point in having multiple tools.

For this reason, I’m not sure this would be implemented.

well it would probably be purchaseable via gemstore as well just at the cost of 1000-2000gems
and then the player gets one aditional bag of space for his whole account..

thats much less than the bank has to offer

and id pay 2000gems for such a thing whilst i never spent any gems at all for some bank acess things

(i did bought 4 bank size enlarger when gems were cheap..^^)
but never anything else..
does anyone buy them?

people do get more of them than they need out of personal story black lion chests dailys and so on

you can now put your account bound tools in the bank use a bank access thing or go to the bank take it and use it…
other way around not all your chras got the harvesting tools you still would have to equipp it and after u are done you would have to unequip them

it IS much easier to harvest with 2 characters and never having to do just that
in fact id probably put oricalcum tools in my bag to always have the option of these tools and the endless ones (which are account bound) would stay on the character im currently playing the most with

Okay let’s pretend I bought more than one axe. Now I have multiple axes. If I had the bag, I wouldn’t have had to buy multiple axes, I’d just keep one in my bag that any character could use. Totally useless product after that.

Account bound items should be accessible for any character on an account without having to go to the bank.

This happens all the time in dungeons/fractals. A party member wants to switch characters-say from guardian to warrior. He has to go to LA, take off all his armor, switch characters, go to LA, put on all the armor, then go back into the instance. The purpose of account bound gear is surely to be able to use it on multiple characters on your account. Why the annoying timegate?

I think account based bags would be a great idea, but why stop at 8 slots – I want my full 20 :-). Gathering tools, salvage-o-matic, food, and various ascended gear would all find a good home there.
But if something like this every came out, the price would almost certainly be in gems.

theyre acc bound its just a few clicks and you couldve used these axes on all your characters..
i see you at fault making axes account bound an then only using them on one..
and just because the tools are in this 8slot bag does not mean u ckittene them instantly equip them otherwise u need too open inventory put them on with a simple double klick and
after use put it back into the 8slot bag if it lands somewhere else drag it to that bag
because if u forget to unequip it you need to change chra once again just to give that axe to the chra u want to use it with….
it IS not just pressing f at every tree
having multiple axes is still some nice quality of life improvement
it saves a few times walking to the bank without granting full access to the bank thus making it overpowered

When axes first came out, they were soul bound. So I bought copies for different characters, because I’m lazy.

Then they made them account bound. I only need one. I’ve bought multiples of the same axe. So now what do I do with the other ones which I’ve spent money on? Right now, they’re all on different characters, at least saving me a trip to the bank.

And you know, I don’t care one way or another, because if they do it they do it, but I can guarantee you there’ll be people who bought multiples asking for refunds.

That’s their problem. I don’t know about you, but not everyone can afford multiple sets of permanent gathering tools at 3k gems.

I’m guessing you’ve bought more than one of each tool? Then it’s no surprise you’re quick to defend it. Don’t forget this is the same situation when the tools were soulbound. It’s not different this time round. It’s just more of a player friendly approach, such as the wardrobe and account bound dyes (afaik, dyes weren’t refunded for having them on multiple characters). And Anet definitely needs to keep up this approach if they wish to succeed against current MMOs.

The main ideia for me is only for ascended rings and accessories cause they are account bound, and i spend a few hours make dailys to get them. And one thing i pass 1 item, ex gathering tools i buy in npcs, cheap, other thing is pass 6 acount bound accs and rings everytime.
I dont have ascended gear for now. I presume if ascended gear are account bound to, so that bag works great.
In a session of game you can change bettween toons, for example .a thief, other times a waarior, a elementalist and so on…with different lvs.
Case you have all 5 slots with 80 lvl caracthers that works even better.
if 8 slot is small, 20 do the job and have space to put other itens. i guess if they make bags like that, will be bougth via gemstore. The main goal is what Nevets Crimsonwing.5271 wrote:

Even if you have that account bag, and put a pre selection of itens, specially accs and rings for ex, that will be great. Untill that happens, the old solution to this problem is simple. Play daillys and spend laurels in all accs and rings to share between toons.

I just have a feeling their response would be “use instant bank accesses”. Which could be a temporary solution for anyone here.

Wallet and Banks solves this concern. Don’t get me wrong, I like this idea. But the next thing we know, people complain why 8 slots only? The next they complain, why only one-slot for that special bag? And before we know it, people would ask why not just remove the bank and put everything else in this special bag. And then later on, why do we even have limit on these bags? Why not just make one bag with 1million slots, that can hold all items and gear and what nots, and be accessible across all characters?

It sounds good, till devs run into some sort of technical limitation, and decided to just go back to what we currently have right now x.x

Isn’t it just as easy to take just one waypoint to the bank and get them from there? I mean, it literally takes a few seconds. :P

I mean I’m all for QoL upgrades, but personally I would never spend gems on such a small thing.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t ArenaNet offer refunds for people who bought multiples the moment they made them Account Bound? Either way, all a such a bag would do is save you the extra step of transferring the tools through your Bank Tab.

I’d personally like to keep my Bank Access, Black Lion Merchant, Instant Revive Orbs, and other such consumables in an Account-Wide bag, but I wouldn’t touch it unless it were 20 slots. The mild OCD in me just wouldn’t abide an 8 slot back wedged between two 20 slot bags.

This. It’s not hard to get to your personal bank.
Anyplace that has a Crafting Table of any kind allows access, even if you don’t do crafting.

Or Anet could compensate them by giving them a title, such as the double legendaries one.
