I apologize if I posted here, I can’t post on the Suggestions section for some reason.

I would like to suggest to make a contest to create weapon skins or an armor set. For example, draw a concept art of the armor set for each kind of race and profession or weapon skins, then ANet chooses the winner and the armor or weapon will be created in the game. The winner will get the item or set for free since won the contest.

This is to give an opportunity to the player to be more involved and ANet to the community. (Yeah, it might be funny as it sounds but it can be cool to see something you created in the game)

I didn’t give more specifications about the contest cuz I want to know you guys what you think about. Also I apologize if it sounds very easy when is not but as I said it’s just an idea.

Hm, I think THQ did something like this with Darksiders 2. A competition where you could do a 2D or 3D rendering of a weapon of a particular kind, which would later be included with the final version of the game.

Similar competitions in conjunction with Living Story would be really fun. Though it would surely require some big effort from ArenaNet, both when it comes to marketing and actual implementation of the winners concept.

But an interesting idea, nonetheless!

They did do this for weapons in gw1 and made most of the top entries in-game. Would love to see this come back for GW2.

I miss those competitions same goes for make a guild baner. We should ask arena net to make them or any fan page.

This thread popped up about a month ago too. I think it’s a great idea. They did design-a-weapon contests in GW. We need more new skins anyway.
