Yesterday I must have accidentally vendored or deleted my Ascended weapon during a night of drunken GW2 shenanigans. In less than 24 hours GM Cold resolved my issue and mailed me a new Weapon ( have to buy new sigils but that’s okay I consider it a tax for being stupid ).

Nice. I managed to vendor an ascended axe once, but I never contacted support. (It was days later when I logged back on the char and saw the axe was gone).

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Nice! glad it all worked out. If you can, I’d say invest in an invisible inventory bag for one of your inventory bag slots and keep that stuff in there. It’s come in handy on many drunken gw2 sessions myself lol.

The last two times I contacted support they helped me out immensely. The requests I made were things I was sure they would deny, but decided to ask anyways and was pleasantly surprised.

Support has gotten a ton better over the years. It’s still the luck of the draw sometimes, but it’s much much better.

I vendored my armour while not realising I was too low level to wear the set I just crafted. It was in the early days and yes I was quite drunk at the time. I had to grind a few levels in my underwear as I was too poor to just buy more armour from the TP. Wish i’d’ve thought to contact Support, it might’ve been a less embarrassing few days.

Don’t all vendors have a buyback option where you can buy back items you’ve accidentally sold?

That only works if you don’t leave the zone. It’s a temporary buy back. If you log out or change zones all that gets wiped and you can’t buy back anymore.

…a tax for being stupid .

Wow. If someone can figure out how to code that into games, we’ll never have to see artificial wealth sinks like the Mystic Forge or Apprentice Mekteki.

(Aside from that, great news for the OP; I’m glad the support team was able to help!)

Yah. It was a good week or 2 after it was sold that I saw it was gone. Made me wish there was that option to bind a weapon to your account like in Guild Wars 1 and after that there was a check where the NPC merchant would ask you if you were sure you wanted to sell that if you vendored it.
