Q:
Cross gender armour suggestion
That would involve making four models for every race. In other words, literally doubling the current amount of armor models ever implemented into the game.
Male for male
Female for male
Male for female
Female for female
For literally next to no actual tangible benefit. No one wants to run in plate boobs on a male charr. You can’t just copy and paste the model between genders. That’s not how this works at all.

… I now want plate boobs on a male charr
Forever known as “that slow guardian who can’t jump worth crap”.
… I now want plate boobs on a male charr
What madness have I unleashed?
My charr would love boob plates – he has generously proportioned non-lactation devices that need protecting.
Also most of the toys on guild wars have no tangible benefit. I can run around with a balloon that floats above me so I don’t see the downside.
I realise that there is a lot of work involved and don’t expect it for already existing armours. But I’m suggesting that armours created in the future could be designed to give us options when it comes to which genderised style of armour we can use.
Maybe all they need to do is turn off an indication if the char is male or female. If that’s it then the chars should be able to equip armor for either sex. Doesn’t mean it would look good, but that’s another discussion.
ANet may give it to you.
My female human wants to wear male “under-armor.” If we can wear the other genders armor, then we should have the under armor of the other gender to match it. Plus, I gave my Mesmer extra “bounce” and I’m just curious to see how well that surgery went.
If a male that who identified as female can be created, and is allowed to run around topless in game, then we must treat everyone equal and allow women who identify as a male to run around topless. This should also include women who identify as women as well, as any form of discrimination is a step in the wrong direction. Does arena net want to be on the wrong side of history?! :P
