Is there any option I can turn on to disable minis on my client? They’re silly and garish in my opinion, and really detract from the ambiance of the game. If other people want to have a half naked barbi-doll Kasmeer running everywhere with them that’s their business, but I’d rather not be subjected to it or have my client waste resources rendering it.

That and the mini ho-ho-trons are slowly rapidly driving me mad with their incessant clanging. It feels like some sort of bizarre anet approved spamming, except you can’t add it to a blocked list.

I agree, more options are NEVER a bad thing.

What if you have to make a good decision out of 20.000 options in 10 seconds?

And while we are at it, culling on weapons. It doesn’t make any sense to have the character details on lowest, everyone around me uses the same grey generic texture / armor but I can still see their legendaries with full particle effects.

I don’t have many issues with this but I understand how some might. I would welcome this as an option in the graphics menu. The only current fix is to wait until the map’s population explodes and the auto-culling kicks in.

I agree with the OP. I don’t care that you have spent 75 laurels on Chauncey von Snuffles III.

I would like to have a graphics option that allows minis to be hidden. Just like if I don’t want to see your armor, I can go to default armor.

Guess what? People dont care about what you dont want to see. You have to deal with it and look at people prestige objects.

Just like how we got to see their hard earned armor skins? Oh wait we can’t.
Guess what? Performance is far more important than showing off prestige objects.
And I’m saying they should add an option to hide those, just be affected by the NORMAL graphic settings like everything else. Just like I can’t show off my hard earned prestige armors to people with lower graphic settings, I don’t want to see their legendaries or minis.

I would assume the whole point of you wanting to show off prestige objects would be to have people see them who also think they’re “cool” and think you’re “cool” for having them.

Why would you want someone like me seeing them and thinking you’re a tool for displaying it? You’ll be far more “prestigious” in my eyes if I don’t see your mini.

Maybe you should get rid of your stoneage toaster if performance is an issue for you. My computer hasnt been upgraded since 2011 and its running the game at max settings and 4k resolution just fine.

Yes, because what you WANT is all that matters (to only you).

I’m in for it. Also, this option SHOULD allow for a higher pop count when the server turns them off (assuming they can subtract the players that are not displaying them from the limit).
