First time playing since the wardrobe update. I bought T3 Human Cultural Armour for my Thief, but since she wasn’t level 80 yet, she couldn’t wear it. So I just kept it in her inventory for the time being.
Now, the skin for the T3 Human Cultural Armour IS there. It’s in the wardrobe. However, the armour itself is gone. Meaning all those awesome stats too. I was more than just the skin, jeez. I was the actual armour itself. But nope. Gone.

So… what? I don’t want to spend 109 gold on a new set just for the stats, but nor do I want to seek out the best armour as soon as I hit 80 either.

I’m not a hero. Heroes are not meant to survive, and I’ve lived far too long for that.

You don’t need to spend any money on any armor sets that are exotic. Run dungeons each dungeon run will net you 60 tokens per path daily. You can run 3 paths of a dungeon per dungeon per day that’s 180 tokens each. An armor piece costs between 180-300 I believe it is for each piece? That is barely any time at all and free. Start now

Edit: here is where you can find what stats go along with each dungeon.

Cultural armor doesn’t have the best stats. It’s equivalent to any rare quality piece you can get on the TP for a few silvers. The only thing that sets them apart is the unique skin (which you already got on the wardrobe), and actually what most people do in the first place is to get some generic exotic quality armor (which has better stats than the rare cultural T3) and transmute the cultural armor skin over them.

Plus, A IrishPotato said, there are also other ways to get exotics that don’t cost gold (dungeon runs and with karma from orr temples).

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

cultural armor isn’t for the stats. It’s for the look. That’s why it was so expensive.

I don’t understand what could have happened to the armor. For it to be in your wardrobe you have to have equipped it, soul/account bound it, salvaged it, sold it to a vendor or put it in the mystic forge after the wardrobe update.

If this is definitely the first time you’ve logged on since the 15th April 2014 then the armor must have been in your inventory or equipped on a character when you logged in. Otherwise it wouldn’t be in your wardrobe. And I assume that if you’d sold it, salvaged it, put it in the forge etc. since logging in you’d remember.

Fortunately for you the important thing is that you’ve got the skins, which are the important part of cultural armor.

I don’t know if you’re aware but as far as stats are concerned GW2 is very simple. There are only 6 tiers:

  • Basic / White
  • Fine / Blue
  • Masterwork / Green
  • Rare / Yellow or Gold
  • Exotic / Orange
  • Ascended / Pink
(Also Legendary, which is purple but they have the same stats as ascended)

Every armor piece with the same rarity and level has the same amount of stats regardless of how it’s acquired. Which means you can buy rare armor from the Trading Post (probably stuff someone has crafted while levelling up and is selling cheaply to get rid of it) with the right stat combination, apply the skins via the wardrobe and basically have the original set back.

Or you can buy another stat combination, or even get cheap exotics from a variety of places, and have something that could be even better for you.

K, do this:

Complete set of Berserker armor for <6g?

*Run EotM for Badge of Honor
*Accumulate about 1000. (This is incredibly easy running with the zerg + you get exp)
*Go to WvW vendor where they sell Berserker gear for <1g + about 160 odd token per item
*Win

Are you trying to equip it from the wardrobe screen or from your inventory?

I think thats the problem he is facing too. I’ve seen some returning players saying in map chat that they couldn’t equip anything and so on, and turns out that they were trying to equip their armor from the wardrobe tab.
