Hello guys, and I hope dev’s,
Will be 5 years in some months and I am still dispointed about a lot of armors that could be very good looking but are “meh”.
The main one (for me) is Heavy cultural armor, female is very nice, male can be very nice but is not.

Helmet : very good
Shoulders : very good
Chest : very good
Gloves : very good

Now the fails (for me at least)
Legs : bad shape
Can be nice but isn’t because of the shape, when you are not wielding your weapons, they go to the side instead of sticking to your legs
Make the steel part @ both sides stick more to the character so the weapons will stick too

Boots : VERY BAD SHAPE
You have a normal size armor till the legs, then large knees, and you finish with tiny tiny feet, com’on !

I made a (bad) paint to explain my point
-with boots I consider ugly with this armor but have the right width
-some white arrows to show the weapons/armor stick to the legs

What do you guys think ? I’m not alone I guess because I see a lot of human t3 just without the boots

The rework I ask isn’t that big or too technical.
(and before you ask yeah I’ve tried all the boots in the game, none of them fit the style)
Cultural armor are unique in the game, there is only 1set and I think it deserves some love and polish at least for all T3 (charr, norn, sylvari, asur…no)

edited with an artwork I found very good and goes along my point of view

It looks fine. It’s designed to be sleek instead of bulky. Only thing that makes the knees large is the ornate winged plate.

Now – you want to know bad, terrible, awful cultural armor? T1-3 Charr Light armor.

Charr light armor is nice to mix though. A complete set of CA for Charr (male) isn’t though.

T3 legs are bad, I like the T2 more ;D

But you got a point.

Eh, I don’t like that set in general, what with that cloth flapping and clipping through everything. But it does look kinda nice otherwise. T2 looks like every generic overblown fantasy crap armor, so I prefer T1. It’s simple and utilitarian, without any flashiness. Perfect!

Sorry but you think this is bad after 5 years?

Try this:
Floating Shoulders
No ears
Shoulders and Helmet are one skin
thin sleeves cover big Gloves
Hair dissapears because of some strings
Strings seem to go trhough the skull

I made this “piece of art” years ago, posted it several times and nothing happend

On the “No Ears” front, I wish the Charr Heavy T1 helm hid the ears, instead of having them clip through.

yeh there are quite a few asura helmets where hiding the ears would be better than making them stick through the helm when there is no hole…

obvious example would be hellfire helmet…

i wish we had an option to show/hide Asura Ears when using Head Armor that would normally hide the ears

It’s a shame that Charr armor, armor made for the race, clips or doesn’t seem designed for how they move. I can tell the four-limbed running came pretty late in development just by the number of dangling bits on the leggings.

Many alts; handle it!

Yeah that’s the point of my post, cultural armors aren’t even good and well designed as they (it?) should be and it’s a shame but I think we are on a the good way with those last updates (if you exlude balance patch) so a good reminder for dev may change things now.
I can feel cheap talking about 1 armore piece when charr are in a worst place but still :p
