One thing I didn’t see mentioned or must have overlooked during the livestreams, including the 3 hour post-show, was how movement is handled with the mounts.

I know they each have their own unique movement ability, but what I don’t understand is how they move.

For instance, the raptor jumps over long distances, but I didn’t see anykind of special action key telling it when to jump. Is it just the plain space bar for the special movements?

Or is it something in the game engine that registers when there is a gap and it simply knows to jump? The same could be applied to the teleport on the Jackal or the jump on the springer.

If it’s automatic, how will that work in the rest of Tyria?

If it’s the space-bar, it makes a little more sense.

Just wondering if anyone saw this clarified on any of the streams.

It seems to replace your weapon keys, at least one of them causes you to attack, presumably another activates a “special movement” option. Or it could just be jump, who knows? It’s definitely player controlled though.

From what I could tell the weapon key I saw on the streams was just the engaging attack button, like the raptor tail swipe.

But yeah, I imagine it would probably have to be player controlled from a systems perspective.
