Guild Wars 2

With the advent of the ‘Wallet’ today, I just had to express my thanks to the GW2 developers for continually adding such welcome improvements to this awesome game. You listen to our gripes, suggestions, likes & dislikes, and actually do something about them — more than any other MMORPG I’ve ever played.

Things like this are one of the many reasons this has become my #1 favorite game. Since launch I’ve already spent something like $30 or more buying gems through the extremely user-friendly, in-game process because so many cool features & items are available to make my characters even more appealing to me. Keep up the great work, staying attentive to the players, and we’re going to spend even more. :-)

Tokens that are required for Mystic Forge recipes can no longer be used. Jewellery recipes using dungeon tokens, and Ascended recipes requiring fractal relics. These recipes have been ruined until they fix this.

The wallet also looks rather clunky. Looks like a display option for people with bad eyes, it doesn’t have to take up the entire screen.

Other than that, it is very nice.

I’ve played a lot of free-to-play MMOs and realized that, for many of them, the business model is ‘annoy the player until he/she breaks down and gives us some money.’

But ArenaNet’s business model seems to be ‘make a game that’s so fun and well-designed that the players will want to buy things off of the store.’

Thanks ArenaNet developers, for realizing that we play games to have fun, and building your business model around that.

I’ve been told that there’s a vendor who sells something for fractal relics that is the replacement for mystic forge usage. I’m guessing it’s either Miyani, or the 3rd robot in the fractal area.
